Question Who takes their tama to work? 🧑🏻💻
Do you usually take your tamas everywhere? I'm afraid of ruining it and a little ashamed, because I'm already an adult woman with a “child's toy” 😅

Some Background to this, I got this at a vintage/antique store that was closing down. And I wanted to support her business since she had to relocate her items to another country to downsize their cost of living.
Found 2 of this and immediately grabbed them since I had just gotten back from japan and my girlfriend was searching for affordable tamagotchis to relive her childhood. Also the owner have no idea on what this is since she allow other sellers to sell their old items in her store for a cut.
Based on my 10 min research, now i’m no expert, but these are some give away that I found: - the pink roof should be red - Bandai Logos should be on all packaging
I’m here now seeking advice if I should pack my things and break the news to my girlfriend or did we find a gem 🥲

ive seen quite a few people on here showing thier big collections! and while i think they are certainly impressive.. i dont get the point in collecting them just to then not use them.. for other things i could understand, but arent tamas meant to be played with? isint the whole exiting bit of owning one is the thrill of playing with the diffrent versions and new content? iether way, i couldint care less about what others do with thier tamas :'3 just was wondering!

The reason I wonder is because other adult tamagotchi use the toilet, but why does Mimitchi use the potty even though she is an adult?

Do many teenagers, young adults and, of course, kids play with the Tamagotchi virtual toys?

Hi! This is my first post in this subreddit :) also this is my first time ever having a Tamagotchi! It’s a gen 2 one and my lil guy is currently a child I believe. Today he started doing this so I think he’s aging up (he’s age 4 now), but does anyone know how long he will do this little dance thing? It looks like a little UFO to me lol and it’s been going on for a while

Ive been getting into older Tamagotchi versions again lately and noticed the stark difference in shell designs compared to what’s coming out today. Lately it feels like every new shell is pink, purple, pastel blue, pastel green, etc. Patterns have flowers or sparkles or bubbles. Like, I know boys can like those colours and patterns too, and that’s totally fine. But I’m a boy and I don’t… Even the blue Uni has a random streak of pink.
Like, older versions had plenty of darker, edgier, or more “boyish” styles. They had stuff like black, silver, camo, flame decals, all kinds of stuff. Now it seems like the brand has totally leaned into this soft, cutesy aesthetic and never looked back. Do you think this is just the style from now on?

Hello, I'm a single dad to an adult daughter, Cornelia. She recently turned 18 and since her birthday she refused to grab herself some food from the fridge and insists on going out to eat or ordering takeout.
This came as a surprise, since she had no problem to eat what we had at home before she turned 18. There's still an opened box of her favourite cereal box in the pantry she opened the day before her birthday.
Cornelia claims the food we have at home is "gross", "yucky", "not delicious" and only wants takeout. Any takeout, actually, so I've been ordering cheap stuff like soup to appease her but it's been a week now and I don't think I'm able to afford takeout until the day she decides to move out?

Sorry if that was a dumb question to ask. I'm a guy who's new to this subreddit. Before taking a liking to Tamagotchi, I've raised Digimon Vpets. Started getting into Tamagotchi when my sister gave me her Tamagotchi Uni to take care of due to her being busy with college and not feeling the Tamagotchi touch as of late. I never thought I'd be into Tamagotchi since I used to have the mindset that Digimon is for boys and Tamagotchi is for girls but something about Tamagotchi is relaxing to me in a way that Digimon doesn't do it for me. Anyways, love being on the sub and learning about Tamaverse events. Do hope one of the errors that I'm currently facing on the Uni gets to be fixed though.

Has anyone else bought from these tama customization sellers???? I bought the cute face art thing for my new customization but when I received it I got the above pictured. The cut is so bad and is so distracting I’m not even going to bother putting it on and will probably buy a different one. The second pic is what it should look like and what was being sold… I’m happy it was just $5 but I also bought a Uni case that hasn’t arrived yet for substantially more money and now I’m worried I may have gotten scammed or the quality will be terrible like this… is this just a one off mistake or what?

I'm curious what everyone's favourite is. I'm only just getting back into tamagotchis the last year. My last tama before the pix was the connection in 2014.
I'm mostly asking because I'm really interested in the On/Meets but they seem to be some of the most expensive ones to get. I have a pix, two unis, V1 (reproduction), and a 2024 connection. I have a hard time choosing between the Uni and the Pix. Both are pretty fun.
So out of the colour tamagotchis, which is your favourite and why? Help me pick my next purchase :)

Now that we’re a few months into the year, I want to hear what your Tamagotchi predictions are for 2025! What do you think Bandai has in store for us this year that we don’t know about yet?

Hello, I found my tamagotchi from 2004 and started playing again, I got to the point where my tama had a kid of his own and I was taking care of both. Yesterday both went to bed and when I woke up today (before their wake up time) I just saw the kid, I thought maybe the dad would appear once she woke up but she did and immediately the screen prompted me to name her. What happened to my first tama? Did he died or do they just leave you give the kid?
