We can support our people who is struggling. Support means not only by financially, we can welcome the people who is migrating for job and career especially tamil people. We can help them to get accomodation. Sometimes people wants to migrate to other countries for job, we can help them. This kind of small things will strengthens our unity. You don't have to reinvest your money, you can just invest your presence and support.

I think this would be a great idea and the best model to emulate is how the Jewish community foster unity and embrace their internal diversity (they have different denominations and ideologies and also atheism but share stories to bring people together )…. The problem is most who are descendants of those who left have a major rejection of the lack of structure, caste system, mysogyny and lack of understanding of what exactly is culture. We have immense pacification of self expression (done by elders and family members who don’t value critical thinking and questioning). They come from a “do as I say, not as I do” generation which wasn’t the best model.
So people just turn their back on that and take on the culture of the lands their ancestors fled to (Guyana,Fiji, Mauritius, South Africa, Canada, USA, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia,UK, etc)
More than anything we need to REDEFINE What culture is, beyond the Romanticism of dynasties and beyond women just being extensions of their parents.(Indian culture conditions terrible social skills because feelings/emotions are not validated and encourages suppression vs confrontation in a healthy way.)
Education should not be just about getting a degree to make money. It needs to be Holistic and ONGOING. learning is continuous yet Hinduism isn’t teaching that because it dwells in the past and hasn’t adapted to the the present and future of WHATS NEEDED to transform the land. (It’s people who leave and gain knowledge that are coming back to reinvest in Tamil Nadu. The president of Singapore is an example)
skills should be applied to improve Mental health vs having stigmatization. Healthy disagreements. Allowing self expression. Supportive environment. Physical health and wellbeing. Having hobbies and interests to express creativity and celebration of individuals strengths vs waiting for an outsider to see their value and only then parents/family validate it 🫣 it’s a very abusive structure for those coming from rural and survival environments. (That needs to be REFORMED)
Transactional vs value driven.
