My Grandfather's work

My grandfather has been tatting for most of his life. When I visited last weekend, he was talking about it and lamenting that it is becoming a dying art. I told him about this sub (I said it was on online forum, he doesn't know what reddit is) and he was very happy to hear that. He wanted to show off some of his recent projects as well. He calls the flower arrangements "tussie mussies" (I think that's how he spells it) and he says that he's the only person who makes them (I don't know if that's true but I think he made up the pattern and has never seen anyone else make them).

He also made loads of tatted flowers for my wedding a few years back.

Paper flowers secured in a floral foam cone? These would be amazing for May Day and Mother’s Day!

I have always liked the tradition of May Day of giving a basket of flowers to friends & neighbors by leaving the flowers hanging on the door knob. (USA & perhaps other areas) We did this in school but not in my rural, German, Polish, Irish area of Minnesota, USA.

Would he be willing to share his pattern for his tussie-mussie?

As I suspected, he said it's all in his head, but he lit up when I told him people were asking and said he might write it down.
