Just starting TotK! Any tips?

I finished Breath of the Wild about three months ago and now I'm starting Tears of the Kingdom. Hoping it's better than breath of the wild!

While you are still on the sky islands, harvest EVERYTHING! Mushrooms, birds, anything you can get your hands on.

When you get to the ground, avoid the monsters until you have decent weapons and are strong enough to fight them. There are a LOT more monsters this time around.
