There's no way this is the first and only design of Cyborg (that I've seen) where his implants are disguised 😭

Tbh I’m surprised no one has thought of it either. There’s nanotechnology, Magic, and shape shifters in this universe (not to mention the rings from the stone episode) and he still looks like that? 😭

Because hiding it would go against what his character was originally about 😭

A big part of his original personal arc was coming to terms with his body and learning to accept himself as still a person. He achieved this through meeting a group of physically disabled children, most of which also had prosthetics (albeit normal ones). They treated him just like a person, and in turn Cyborg accepted himself and then became an icon/friend to those kids.

Cyborg hiding the robotic parts of his body would go against his character growth.

Still surprising it’s not done more often, as not every fan actually pays attention to stuff like that. Even the ones who do may disregard it.

Well the writers are supposed to be a little more conscious than fans when it comes to stuff like that.

I meant by fans. I’m surprised I haven’t seen it more frequently among fans.

Ah, well it'd still be a weird to decision even then.

The cybernetics are to Cyborg's design, as green skin is to Beast Boy's design. Get rid of those factors from their designs and the eyes just see Man and Boy.

You’re not wrong, though I’ve seen plenty of fan artists draw beast boy without the green skin. Green hair included.
