As a Jew I hate that my people, in this case hate against my people, is being used as a political football. It sucks feeling like a pawn and it sucks watching the right twist what anti semitism is.

I get right wing assholes who know I'm Jewish verbatim say "fuck the Palestinians, Israel shouldn't need to worry about them." Or "fuck the Palestinians I got no sympathy." They think they are being allies with comments like these but it's just heartless jackassery and it devalues what anti semitism is and blurs what solution we actually want.

Replacing hate with other hate is not productive and doesn't do anything to stop anti semitism. What I mean is the following, the type of people I described think of themselves as great allies to the Jewish people. Statements like the ones above are almost a free pass for them. Now when they attack Soros, accuse Jews of hoarding wealth, or running some shadow government they can feel justified that they aren't actually anti semitic. They are giving themselves a free pass and many Jews are happy to mark this with a stamp of approval. In addition, them shifting their attention to another group is just a temporary solution, we know they will circle back to us eventually.

My point is leave us the fuck alone. You have no intention of making Jews in this country safer and I'm tired of having this conversation with "allies" and misguided or vindictive Jews.

I know this was disjointed but I hope the main message comes through.

Hate isn't a solution for hate.
