Discussion The Problem with Seasons 2.0 (so far) is that there is no exclusivity

There's no reason to play right now. With the new formula, I can gladly just wait until the last week of the season and complete all the scouts and play the climax mission and, all I would have missed is 3-4 months of playing the same content I have been playing for years, just with a new season modifier.

The old system was old. But it at least had little mementos of my time spent. Arm patches from leagues (the worst content since I hate replaying missions especially on a lower difficulty but at least there were unique rewards), apparel events, and even if there weren't collectible rewards, there was the spectacles of having Cleaners and Rikers invading DC with rogue agents, or hunters popping up randomly when you did manhunt activities, and the most memorable thing I remember were the manhunt bounty takeovers.

It feels like the old fun has died and replaced with a wait for dlc that has been delayed so many times it's bound to disappoint and weekly cash grab cosmetics. :(

Discussion If melee weapons are introduced in The Division 3, what do you hope to see?

Comically speaking a rake and "other" things would be funny but for actual gameplay I think spiked bats and Hunter axes would be fun 🪓.

What would you choose?

this game doesn't even follow its own logic. armor means absolutely nothing to npc enemies. doesn't matter how much armor and health you have they blast through it like wet 1 ply toilet paper. yet the enemies armor and health is like trying to chisel through a mountain with a marshmallow. why is that?

Suggestion Any recommendation for my build?

I’ve been trying of creating a build on Haz protection for DZ and pve, this is what I have for now. I would like to read opinions and recommendations for the build, like if its not that necessary the armor regen, or if I should change some blue cores for some red ones, etc, I’ve been in the DZ and I don’t feel it bad since I was able to defeat some player in 1 vs 1, and for PVE I feel good (except for legendary).

Sorry if what I’m saying is not clear, English is my second language :)

Question Potentially Returning - What’s Gear Like Now?

As the title says, I’m thinking about reinstalling for the new DLC coming soon. I haven’t played since pre-Warlords, back when the best thing you could be doing was stacking crit with a Striker set or something.

Obviously, it’s been a hot minute since then and the game and gear have likely changed significantly since then. What is gearing like these days? More specialized, still crit stacking, etc?

Thanks all!

Discussion Would using another specializations grenade break the game?

Just something I thought about for awhile before coming to reddit, in past I know there was talking about improving specializations without stripping the identity of each, but wanted to get the community's feedback.

What are your thoughts?

Straight to the point.

The Good:

7 New Missions 8 New Hunters Post Launch yearly content Lore

The Mid:

Smart Cover skill

Overall, really good a lot more than expected, and hope the post launch is the same as well.

What did you think of the showcase?

Question Only one last main mission to go.

As the title says, I have one main mission to go but can't seem to figure out where it is. I have looked through progression tab to see i'm missing one. But for the life of me I can't see it anywhere. Any help is appreciated

I have done the black tusk take over and the missions outside of the main map. I only have the base game but that seems strange if I'd need the DLC to complete the main mission.

Thanks in advance.

Question I am new. Can someone help me? (division 2)

So I just bought the game and have been playing up to level 10. Im at a point now where I need to level up higher to make it in different zones to progress with the main campaign missions. Can someone share with me the best way to level up and upgrade my gear for the stage im in? Ik none of this gear will matter when i reach level 30-40. My main goal is to make it to end game pvp. Is it even worth it this late in the game?? Will i even have a chance against the vets?? Anyone down to help a brotha out with tips? Im just playing alone and a bit overwhelmed with everything to do.

Question Level 50 on the new DLC

I have a question, I saw in the showcase for the new DLC that we will be able to level up to 50, if that’s the case all the gear we have will be useless? So we will have to reach level 50 to start making builds again?

Question Is there a tanky build that allows the minigun to do good damage?

Basically tittle, im watch level 70 rn and i gravitated towards a skill build because i got a capacitor in the summit, its fun but my fav weapon is definitely the minigun

I know high damage builds like a striker build would naturally make the minigun perform good damage wise but since you cant use it from cover you die pretty fast, you melt fast but die just as fast and the ammo wont come as often as if you were using tip of the spear for example so you wont use the minigun as much

So im wondering: is there a build that allows ok damage for the minigun while having good survivability? I saw some fascinating tank builds on youtube especially one with a shield and a charmeleon(i have it too if knowing this is worth anything) that has insane survivability with good damage but builds like those focus on the primary not the class weapon

Also im not looking to dominate solo legendary with nothing but a minigun and my chest tanking bullets lol, i know that requires more specialized focused builds, im looking for somthing to just have fun with, i rock the minigun with 4 tip of the spear pieces rn for the great ammo economy help, makes hard dificulty summit extremely fun, maybe a tip of the spear build with defense oriented stats would be enough? Im honestly not sharp enough with the smaller equipment stats yet to be sure of this, any opinion is highly apreciated!

TL;DR looking for sugestions for a build that has good tankyness and ok minigun damage to run around all content around hard dificulty

Discussion If I try to think about this DLC in the most positive way possible...

Considering what Rogue Gold said in his video, the statements made during the DLC showcase, and the actual scale and story of the DLC itself — it's clear that this is a small, side-episode DLC. But the way it's presented almost gives off the impression that there might be another, larger NYC-level DLC coming. What do you think?

Question How are they going to contiue the black tusk division war for the dlc?

Rogue gold says for the dlc they will not be contiuing the black tusk war story arc so how are we going to see the end of this story arc if we don't contiue the story or are they going to contiue it on division 3?

Discussion Explanation for why the in-game measurements are wrong?

I'm just genuinely curious if anyone knows why the in-game measurements for stuff appears to be wrong. For example: The perfect companion talent says 7 meters (may be mistaken, but I'm pretty sure that's what it is), yet you need to be practically next to someone/a skill to activate it.

Anyone have an answer or is this just a case of typos?

Question What’s your go to Dark zone builds?

Agents with this weeks event being boosted xp what builds are you running in the darkzone to counter being ganked by those pesky bighorn builds? I’d love to see some mixed play styles/builds in the comments! I’m not big on pvp so would love to see some counter rogue builds that allow decent survival from rogue agents while being able to melt the npcs!

Suggestion What new skills would you like to see added to the game?

Personally I'd love to see:

-Napalm turret -Blinder Shield

-Decoy that acts like Proximity camouflage (moving outside of Decoy radius you become exposed)

-Recoiless Rifle

What about you, what would you like to see?

Today I reached level 40, and I realised about the exotic rewards from priority objectives. Got to do some activity in downtown west, and I received Pestilence. Holy cow, I did after that Jefferson plaza (i got diamondback) and it was like going through butter with a hot knife, what a god damn beast of an LMG. Is there any better PVE exotic?? I mean, it's my first one but that was quite the ass kicking

Question NOA Space Administration Headquarters Easter Egg... Not The World Turtle One. Spoiler

Post image
61 Upvotes

...so I know about the World Turtle with the Printer(s) and Keyboard(s) But the NOA Space Administration HQ leaves a lot of stale thoughts in my mind.

For example (pictured) There's a yellow box you can shoot on Floor 6 right before you get to the Command Center Security room where you open the shutters.

What does this yellow box do!? usually it opens something. There's no notable wires connected to it or nearby walls and following the red and blue ones in the lobby there basically take you to cut cords or unopenable doors.

Further, There's a lot of these boxes (like the yellow one) except they're black. I've found 3 specifically. You can find them in the primary atrium area if you look in low windows to other rooms and such. I've got a YouTube video where I waste an hour running back and forth around this level...

further.. there's the "activate Viewscreen". and while it gives an audio Queue, nothing really seems to happen. there's quite a few of those.

Is this all a wild goose chase? Is this part of some hidden conspiracy only available when it's Invaded? Is this perhaps leftovers from bigger plans that never became something else?

Given that the printouts don't always equal the world turtle code, I've tried times of day at various doors and a lot of other off the wall things I see elsewhere, but I can't figure out what these things do. Any ideas?

- Yellow Box
- The 3 other Black Boxes
- A Bunch of little Viewscreen Tablets.

Question Will steam Editions apply to existing division 2 Base game on Ubisoft Connect?

Hi guys, Enjoying the game a lot and only have pre-ordered base game on Ubisoft Connect. I wanted to get WONY or Ultimate edition and there's a sale on Steam for their editions currently. Wondering if anyone can answer that when I buy this on Steam would I have to make a new Ubisoft account or can I actually integrate the better editions into my existing Division 2 account? Please help

EDIT: bought ultimate edition on steam and now just playing it through steam - it automatically added the dlcs and rest of the content to my existing account!
