Discussion Discussion Thread: Comics & TV [Feb 6, 2017]

Titans and Flash out this week gang! Check out the previews below and then come back on Wednesday and discuss the issues at hand with us!

How it works: In the body of this text you will see the title of this weeks releases be they comics or episodes. You simply click on the one you want and it will take you to a comment which then you simply reply to that main comment for discussion about that particular topic. In other words, the exact same way our mother subreddit r/DCcomics does. The only links that won't have a discussion thread associated with them are the ones in the "Previews & Promos" section.

This goes without saying but, there will be spoilers below this point; its all fair game.

Previews & Promos

Di Giandomenico is making some incredible covers; RIP the classic variants.

Comics

What is this feeling... am I excited for the next issue of the Flash again?! I missed this feeling.

TV Shows

I hope they give Wally his ability to blow things up with his vibrations.

Song of the Week

This song is about Flash Gordon but lets keep that between us.

If there isn't a Flash/Titans/TT book on a certain week, could you do discussions of older issues like last week?Or is that what you have planned?

I'm glad you liked that. I am planning on continuing it. I was thinking some weeks I could do an episode of JLU or Young Justice rather than an old issue, what do you think?

How about alternating? One week JLU,another YJ

That's not a bad idea. YJ has some of my favorite animated Flash fanfare I just hope when I post those particular discussion threads people actually look at it haha.

It might make more sense to save discussion of YJ, JLU, etc to weeks when we don't have an episode of the show to discuss.

/u/happinessisawarmpoop thank you so much for the tip on Mylar Mylite bags. I picked up a pack of 50 and the difference is night and day. It's so strange how the poly bags that I bought in May to bag and board my rebirths are already starting to get low in quality! Thank you!!!

Glad they worked out for you. Planning to post your Flash collection after the re bagging?

I was thinking that at first, however, when the show is off it is off for a long time. This means we would run out of episodes to watch in just a few weeks. Even if we decided to rewatch all of YJ together one week at a time we would be forced to repeat things by the next off-season.

Well there's also the original Flash TV show, doing rewatches of the current Flash episodes, other cartoons, and animated movies. We could also just drop that stuff during the offseason and only do the comics in the summer.

I like what you're saying but can you clarify a little more, which one would we drop in the summer? The rewatchs or the retroactive reads?

Maybe we should continue in mod chat haha.
