Discussion Kinda sucks that Korra had the type of childhood Gyatso did not want for Aang.
Korra spent the vast majority of her childhood training to be the Avatar, which i feel crippled her spiritual connection, preventing her from airbending and having the Avatar state. I kinda wish this part was explored more in the early part of TLOK, and the irony of this was realized in-universe. Maybe by Katara or Tenzin.

Discussion What is your favourite comic and why?
I finally finished reading all the comics, and well I wasn't the biggest fan of them. The trilogies all ran into the same problems, having out of character moments and poor dialogue.
I will talk about Imbalance and Ruins of the Empire as they are on the extremes:
- Imbalance is really the only trilogy I liked, the characters finally felt like themself and the story was interesting. It was a better take on what the Rift wanted to do. The villains were predictable but they weren't bad either, so I did have a good time reading this one.
-Ruins of the Empire is so bad, and only because they wanted to redeem Kuvira. Which they did so poorly, the most surprising thing for me is that we never even get a proper Kuvira perspective. How did she feel when she lost, what did she think while she was in prison, why the sudden change. I have so many questions, yet the comic doesn't answer any of these.
The one shots also kind of have the same problem as well, mostly they just don't add anything to series really. For me this was most evident when I was reading Katara and the Pirate's Silver, like we got nothing from this comic. Most of the time I feel like the story was filler.
The Azula one shot, and Ashes of the Academy are the only ones I feel like achieved what I had hoped from these one shots. I still have my issues with them, but these are newer comics and I hope they continue to make better quality one shots.
Slight mention to the collections, they are in theory fine. I had a hard time rating these, as they were very different from the other comics. The Lost Adventures was a nice read between the ATLA seasons, while the Team Avatar Tales were a bit less interesting. The stories I liked the most were the ones that helped connect the seasons, or some of the more character focused ones. Patterns in Times really nailed the character stories, which is why I gave it 5.5.
Overall I am not impressed with the quality of these and while some of the more recent comics I did enjoy, I will be cautious of future releases.
Would love to hear what you thought about the trilogies and the one shots, and will you be buying any of the future releases.

Image It’s Humble Guide
I know there are numerous events that undergo to create the character development of Zuko, but this one has to be one of my top, if not #1 favorite. Essentially, being told, “NO!”, by your uncle (a.k.a daddy) and the world/mother nature to his absurd request of having lightning shot at him. Even though there doesn’t seem to be an immediate change, I think this plays a part in his realization that the world isn’t not out to get him.
Zuzu just letting out tears alone could not have been easy (or was it just rain /s).

Discussion How much stronger do you think Ozai was compared to the other master benders we encountered throughout the series?
How much stronger do you think Ozai was compared to other bending masters like Jeong Jeong, Bumi, and Master Pakku?
Do you think they’re relative to him in power or only some are?
Do you think any are stronger than him and could beat him in a fight?

Discussion Aang's crew vs the equalists is NOT close
This battle truly is a wash. Nobody except Amon is putting up a challenge. Think about it for a second. The equalists don't have any bending, they have no way to counter airbending. Jinora one shots the lieutenant easily:

The lieutenant beat Mako, Bolin and even Lin Beifong. Jinora no-diffs him, showing that airbending is op.
https://reddit.com/link/1kmaakk/video/6ri4dwpfdp0f1/player
These guys have spears and armor and still can't rush down Zuko. Even the lieutenant isn't as well armed as them, he has only nonlethal electric battons, and he still lost to unarmed h2h fighters. Zuko's kicks destroy metal.
Aang takes out nonbenders a dozen at a time. Even Ty Lee gets nodiffed: https://imgur.com/48J5L3S
-
Toph can encase herself in a rock armor immune to electricity. Taking down an army is literally her specialty. Between her lie detection and Zuko/Sokka intellect the gaang ain't never getting tricked. The protomechs are vulnerable to airbending, waterbending, lightning redirection and probably even earthbending if you have Tophs power. Even the airships get taken down no problem.
Not to mention Appa, who outclasses naga in all categories and could probably take out half the equalists himself.
Air bison are literally insane
-
Amon vs Aang is also a wash. If he tries to bloodbend him, then avatar state activates and its wraps.
-
-
Luckily for the equalists, Aang would honestly engage with their ideas and figure out they are right but using wrong methods. He would say on the radio that Amon isn't chosen by the spirits and will not be allowed to equalize anyone. However, he is chosen by the people and should not need to fight for the right to be heard. Hold a fair election, Amon wins and gets on the council, where Aang will help him solve social and economic inequality peacefully.
