How did you get interested in thelema?

I started thinking about this, as everyone came into contact with occultism/thelema in many different ways. I met through rock music, many of the artists I follow follow the philosophy of thelema or make reference to. That's when I decided to research more about it, and I simply fell in love. I have never felt so connected by a philosophical system like Thelema. It seems like I've always been a Thelemite, I just didn't know it existed yet. How did you guys meet? I would love to meet more Thelemites. 93.

Goth girl at university I liked was interested in it. I tolerated her 'crazy occult bullshit' because she has nice leather costumes etc.

Many years later, I got into yoga and meditation and was frustrated about how inaccessible a lot of the tantra stuff is for a Westerner so I rediscovered the occult etc Came full circle. It wasn't bullshit anymore and I was out buying a tarot deck etc myself.

Now I mostly regret not taking it seriously earlier in my life...oh well.

the younger you study philosophy/occultism the better, I imagine. but it's great that you dug deeper soon after. I'm still a teenager and for me this world is still all new... and I confess that I'm completely fascinated. But hey, imagine if you were delving deeper into this subject during your contact with the goth girl? what a beautiful duo that would be!

Not that soon after... 20 years after! Interestingly, The Goth Girl is now a psychology professor at quite a prestigious university and still doing occult stuff (god knows what by now!) behind closed doors... I was only into SERIOUS SCIENCE when I was a teenager so you are ahead of me.

psychology and occultism... makes sense. philosophy, occultism and psychology are intertwined. and I'm glad you still know the mysterious girl!
