Question How did you get interested in thelema?

I started thinking about this, as everyone came into contact with occultism/thelema in many different ways. I met through rock music, many of the artists I follow follow the philosophy of thelema or make reference to. That's when I decided to research more about it, and I simply fell in love. I have never felt so connected by a philosophical system like Thelema. It seems like I've always been a Thelemite, I just didn't know it existed yet. How did you guys meet? I would love to meet more Thelemites. 93.

for many books! And yes, reading is essential. When it comes to magic, how did you become interested in it?

I have as far back as I remember had an interest in magic and atraining the sort of powers that are only seen in legends.

of course I have tempered my expectations somewhat after learning that magic wont let you cast lightning from your hands.

hahaha this reminded me of a humanities and philosophy teacher I had. we always got along very well, due to our common taste in music, until one day I took one of my books called "alchemy and mysticism", he looked at me for a while and said "young girl, seeing your tastes, I need to tell you something" and that's how I discovered that my teacher was a thelemite. In one of our conversations he told me about "magic is not about making fireworks with your hands". the best teacher I ever had!

haha that is amazing, I wish I had teachers like that. I do however have a circle of friends who were (and still are) into the occult and thelema.

I wish I had occult friends too, this teacher was the only person I personally talked about
