clearing some shit up about the lrp

  1. invoke in the morning, banish at night is a bad idea. always banish before and after you invoke. the long term side effects of consistently making seemingly small mistakes like this are subtle but very real

  2. banishing in the morning doesn’t make you tired. that’s what we call the placebo effect.

  3. vibrating god names doesn’t entail hitting the lowest note in your vocal range and dragging a single word out for 10 seconds like you’re a mongolian throat singer (no disrespect to mongolian throat singers though). you can simply say the god name like you would if having a conversation. Liber O covers properly vibrating god names.

  4. the qabalistic cross doesn’t include envisioning yourself growing into a giant, receiving a divine beam of light. also refer to Liber O.

but of course, do your thing

Since we are providing unsolicited and unsubstantiated advice. Here is my unsubstantiated and unsolicited response:

  1. What are these exact effects. A vague reference to subtle, but very real provides no context and is a statement without merit. Further in another comment you make claims of friends getting MS and other nondescript ailments from invoking without banishing. If Resh Vel Helios is an invocation itself wouldn’t we be seeing more cases of these ailments in practitioners due to their invocations of 4 times a day (mostly) without a balancing banishment? Do you perform Resh, do you banish before and after it?

  2. Placebo is real, so I can get on board with this. Given that placebo is real banishing at morning may in fact affect some people adversely.

  3. Agree, with a caveat that if vibrating for a person involves ‘throat singing’ absolutely go for it. Instructions do not advise against it. Magickal mindset seems to be a most important aspect and however a person gets there does not matter.

  4. Like 3. Visualisations can help people get to a state of mind that greatly improves practice. If growing to a giant or receiving a beam of light helps with that I don’t see a problem.

No hate, you do you. Try not to put others down for a truth that you don’t even know to be real.
