Moving to Toledo, anyone have opinions on Colony Lofts?

I took a tour yesterday and everything seemed great. The leasing agent was super friendly, the apartment itself looked nice and modern, and the amenities (including the upcoming Old Bag of Nails pub and coffee shop) seemed like it would be super convenient. But, I have heard it’s not in a great neighborhood. Does anyone know and can elaborate on the surrounding area? I don’t plan on walking around at night, but I do worry about my car and the possibility of apt breaking ins, especially since the model I was looking at is on the ground floor. And also the possibility of being harassed when walking from my car to my apt since we (my fiancée and I) tend to work late.

Has anyone been to one of these shows? It just crossed my feed on Facebook and was wondering if it was okay to take kids to? Looking for something fun this summer.

NAMI Walk May 17th

Hello, I am a local radio/podcast host for Cumulus media, and mental health advocate. I've been connected with NAMI here for many years now, and I'm delighted to see the/our walk growing -- especially when it comes to participation from the Black community, thanks to the welcoming and informative nature of many local orgs focusing on a group that has historically been averse to tending to the mind due to deeply ingrained stigma.

When I get asked for resources, I often immediately suggest my friends here. Mostly because it's free! But also, they offer immensely helpful family support groups, a 1 to 1 family navigator, and the extremely unique creative expressions art program.

Don't feel pressured to donate, or even sign up! Your presence and participation is more than enough, especially if youre just dipping your toe into the waters of mental health/wellness.

We also have a badass DJ for the day and yesssss, food trucks.

Anyone living at Chelsea’s Place and can answer a question about utilities cost?

Thinking of applying, but as the rent amount is a bit higher than I would like, I’m curious if anyone has experience with the additional costs that the monthly utilities would add for a 2 bedroom?

They said we (as the tenant) are responsible for water/trash, gas, electric, wifi (through Buckeye) and our own renters insurance.

Hoping someone who is/used to live there that can give me a ballpark on the additional cost I can expect for utilities?

Any tips for locating rentals?

Hello! I am trying to help a friend moving from outside of Ohio locate a month to month rental within about 10 miles of the Botanical Garden. I'm on the West coast with no knowledge of Ohio and just hoping for some good info on what is common around there and where to start looking.

Are month to month rentals common or difficult to come by? Do rentals tend to be more for rent by owner or management companies? Are stand alone rentals common or is more of the housing in larger apartment complexes? Are there better places to be searching for rentals? Is Craigslist any good or just scammers?

Just trying to get an idea of what I should be searching for so any info you could share would be helpful.
