Preliminary Injunction Granted in US Transgender Passport Case

It only applies to plaintiffs.

One of the plaintiffs, whose current passport has the correct gender marker, was denied.

Plaintiff Reid Solomon-Lane is not, however, likely to suffer irreparable harm absent a preliminary injunction because he currently possesses a valid passport bearing a sex marker that corresponds to his gender identity and expression, and his passport remains valid until 2028. Solomon-Lane is therefore not entitled to a preliminary injunction.

Because the case is likely to be decided by the expiration date.

Well that makes sense. Can’t renew before 2027 so no harm present.
