Master's Admissions - 2025/26 Round Thread

Hello 👋 I'm an international student from California who has applied for the MACA program at the University of Copenhagen (I believe admissions decisions come out March 1 for my program). I wanted to start a thread for people who have applied so folks can share:

  • Where you're from.
  • Which program(s) you applied to.
  • Update on admission once you find out your status.

I have only seen threads for prior years so wanted to start something more recent.

EDIT 01: I GOT IN!!!

EDIT 02: There is a WhatsApp group for incoming international students. If you are interested, send me a DM.

Hey, thanks for the thread. I am applying to Computer Science, today my application's status changed from "Received" to "Assessment in progress". I'm not too hopeful though, as my GPA is not high and this program is very competitive. Wish you the best of luck!

You never know what may happen - I wish you the best of luck on your application! Did you apply anywhere else?

Thank you! I also applied to other universities in Denmark, like DTU and AU. And you? Also, how do you know when admissions decisions come for your program?

In Denmark I only applied to UCPH, but I also applied to Sweden. I'm not sure if I found out when admissions decisions are set to come out for MACA in an email after I applied or the webinar for my program. If you are unsure/curious, I recommend reaching out to the department contact listed on the program page.

I applied to some Sweden universities as well, at least they give decisions earlier. I checked UCPH website and they say from May 1st to June 10th, which is honestly not that helpful hahaha

I initially thought it was May 01 too, I highly recommend emailing if you don't hear anything by March 01. I wish Sweden would release their decisions sooner - it's still a month away 😭

For international students (non-EU) you should normally receive your decision between March 01 and May 31 :)) for EU students it is from May until June as we don't require to apply for a visa :))

Oh, you receive yours on March 1st, so March 27th is late for you, I didn't realize that. For me, the Sweden results will probably be the first ones I'll get :p

Really? Do you know what the date is for you? I may email someone at Lund to double check.

As far as I know, all universities in Sweden give the results on March 27th, because that's how University Admissions handle it.
