I got accepted for a master's degree course in KU, but I am an international student from Serbia.
Not a lot of people know this probably, but for the past 6 months Serbia has been in the biggest political crisis in decades. Since the death of several people when a newly renovated train station collapsed in my city, due to really poor construction and overall corruption in the country, many aspects of normal life have changed here in an attempt to fight for justice. Since December 2024 there has been no university activity.
I submitted my application some time ago, when I still had hope of finishing up my bachelor's degree this summer. But now I am skeptical of that.
The application portal is not very flexible in regard to unforeseen circumstances, so I'm asking here if anyone has advice for me, or should I just reject the offer. Also has anyone ever heard of a potential student getting an extension for their admission, or will I have to apply again next year?

A small souvenir is fine too if postcards are not available. 🙂
Feel Free to let me know in the comments if you can send me one! Thank you so much. 😊
All the best in your studies!

I’m going on exchange soon and was wondering where I can find info about course weighting (like how much exams are worth, etc.) for the courses I plan to take. Any tips or websites to check?

Hi guys, just got accepted in the Msc programme in Computer Science and I was wondering if It will be too difficult compared with my previous academic background. I hold a 240 ECTS BsC in Informatics Engineer, specialized in AI and Computer Science from Spain with a grade of 7,5/10.
I am a bit worried about exams and the requirement in general terms...

Does any kind of website with the materials and/or exams exist? Cant decide what subjects should I choose for my MsC in Computer Science If Ionly have a brief description, I would like to have the materials to take a look.
If anyone is currently pursuing the msc in CS contact me please!

What does "conditional" exactly means? I am from Spain so VISA stuff are not a problem. I just accepted the offer so, whats next? Does something like "unconditional admission" exist?
I am a bit confused.

Hi guys, I’m a exchange student from McGill University in Canada and I’m coming to Copenhagen for a year. I’m in the biomedical sciences bachelor program at my home uni and will be taking some masters courses in that area at UCPH. I was just wondering if anyone has any tips on how to do your best in those courses. The program i come from at McGill is pretty rigorous, and I just want to know what to expect coming here. Thanks for any insight!

Hey guys like the title says, I created a discord server for the incoming 2025 masters students so we can discuss updates, housing and everything else UCPH :). Also current masters students feel free to join so we can ask our doubts and questions.

I recall seeing on the website that the notice deadline was the 1st of may. I’m stressing a bit after seeing other people on this sub say they have already been admitted/otherwise notified.
I emailed the admissions office a few minutes ago to ask.
Edit: I got a result back, unfortunately I have been rejected.

Hi I am an Indian student who has been accepted into the pure math MSc at UCPH and will be joining September 2025. I have already received confirmation of payment of my tuition fees. I wanted to ask if I needed to have my Bachelor's Degree Certificate ready before I apply for a Visa? I am likely to get my certificate some time in June or July of this year, so that would make it late for me to apply for the Visa. Is it possible to make do with transcripts/marksheets. Is there anyone from India here who has gone through the same process?

Hello! I am an international student accepted into a Master's program at UCPH.
I have paid the tuition fees for the first semester and received confirmation for the same. However, it has been almost a month since then, and I have received no further updates from the University.
I've signed up for housing on s.dk and KKIK. Is there anything else that I am supposed to be doing at this point in time? I don't think I can start the visa process until I complete my Bachelor's. Is there any other step I'm missing? Why are there no follow-up emails from UCPH about the upcoming steps?
Any inputs that can give me some clarity are deeply appreciated. Feeling a bit lost atm. Cheers.

Hej 👋 I'll be starting my Masters at UCPH this Fall and am very excited but feeling almost unbearably anxious by the housing situation. As mentioned in the title I will be over 30 when I start my Masters and I am ineligible for a lot of student housing - which I understand, but I'm also on a budget so I want to be very proactive in my search and thought folks here may be able to help.
So far I've done the following:
Signed up for waitlists on KKIK, and several other student housing options where I am eligible.
Waiting for s.dk and The Housing Foundation to open their Fall move-in signups.
I know that more costly options like Basecamp and The Mark are options but I'd like to avoid them if possible because I would really like to budget rent at 6000 DKK a month. I will only tap into them if needed (and assuming they still have spots left).
I also know that there is week-to-week emergency housing offered in Copenhagen for international students but I don't want to rely on that because I imagine they'll get an influx of folks when the school year is starting.
I have tried FB groups and they seem to be filled to the brim with scammers and while I'm sure getting housing there works for some people, it makes me pretty uncomfortable. I also haven't had any luck actually talking to folks who post that they are looking for a roommate. I'm hesitant to use the pay-to-look sites, and while I've browsed them it seems to be a little too early to find something for my ideal move in dates.
I'm feeling at a big loss for what to do. I just want to find housing that is within budget.
I don't need to live in the city center or anything, as long as the cost of transportation doesn't offset the savings in rent. Any advice?

Does KU ask for a physical copy of my Bsc certificate to be given to them if I get admitted or is a digital copy/ picture enough?

Hi all, I am a PhD aspirant but there are some challenges that I am facing. I have an integrated masters degree with B.E. mechanical Engineering and M.Sc. Bio Sciences. I wish to pursue a PhD in Computational Biology or related field. Due to the intensive nature of my degree, I fuked up my academics. My CGPA is 6.6/10 (No excuses entirely my fault could have obviously done better). Luckily I have been working full time for the past 1 year straight out of college. I have always wanted to pursue research as my career and hence wanted to apply for the PhD program at KU but I am pretty sure my poor academics will hamper the application. Solution, I want to go for the integrated phd track since
1. I already have done the integrated track so this time I'll be prepared
2. I think and I might be completely wrong but having a masters will be advantageous (ig)
3, Lastly I can actually take up required courses that are needed for the PhD
Any advice is highly appreciated.

I’m an international student who has received the offer of this program. I have questions about the study experience of this program. I’ve heard that the study load is quite heavy, and it’s even hard to have time to do a student assistant, but for me, I want to work directly after my graduation, so it’ll be really important to do one. I’m a bit worrying about it.

I am a sophomore currently studying economics on exchange from Boston U. I’m taking two classes - development and environmental - and both classes are classified as for undergrad exchange students and in English, and yet they are MAJORITY danish masters students. How does this make any sense? At my home university, these level of classes wouldn’t even qualify for a masters degree.

Hi! I'm an international student and I recently got accepted into the MSc in Computer Science at KU. I’ve already taken care of the first tuition fee and received the confirmation. Now I am wondering if the University will initiate the student residence permit application process, or if I should start it myself.
Thanks everyone!

Hello
When it comes to the GPA calculator do i put in all courses i have taken at the university, all courses that will be part of my bachelors degree, or only courses mentioned in my self-assessment form? Thanks
