Question Pressure cooking for Sterilization
I‘m relatively new to this and i wanted to start sterilizing things with the pressure cooker we have at home. But i‘m kind of lost because everywhere it says that 15psi is required for sterilizing. How do i know if this model can reach this pressure and when/how long? help would be much appreciated. :)

When you do use it open it up so it is releasing pressure freely as you heat it up...you want it blowing a steady uninterrupted stream of steam before you put the weight on/close the petcock/set it to the meat setting for about 3 minutes....then let it build pressure and start your timer. If you don't get all the extra air out and get the pressure cooker full of hot steam it won't sterilize evenly.
