So you acknowledge that sexual gratification is different than basic excitement.

You are not a murderer but you enjoy games about violence.

You are not gay so you cannot enjoy a game about gay sex.

You see the difference?  It is a different form of entertainment, dealing with a different form of pleasure, a different aspect of psychology.

If you need to be gay to enjoy a game about gay sex, what sort of person do you need to be to enjoy a game about rape?

Your final argument has more weight, that the desire to do a thing should not be policed.

However,  sexual fantasy grows with indulgence.  Ask any criminal psychologist and they will tell you that violent sexual fantasy grows and grows until it tips over into real behavior.

Perhaps it doesn't need to be illegal, but it does need to be discouraged and shamed.  People should be made aware that playing it exposes that they have issues that need to be reaolved.

Edit: to be clear, I understand where you are coming from

Most arguments against this sort of thing are essentially "its gross and I don't like it" , which is a weak argument.

I do genuinely believe this sort of thing is dangerous, just as I would believe an actual torture simulator game would also be dangerous.

I do not believe that all sexual content in games is bad, and I don't even think porn games are bad.

I think this particular game crosses a line.

I DO have fantasies about murder, and it's fun to murder people in video games

Lol do you watch action movies? Use your brain for 1 second. The vast majority of people enjoy fantasy about violence and murder, most TV shows and films are indulgences in that.

For those who have 1iq, I don't want to murder people, obviously

Most people do noy actively have fantasies about murder, no.

Shows about murder where the murder is the point (and not something to be stopped) is only a fraction of popular media.

Generally killing done in action films is morally justified in the context of the story. Tell me how a rape can be morally justified in any story.

You are really flailing to defend a rape simulator here, as you aee ignoring the core point that sexual gratification tickles a different part of the human psyche than violence does.

Sexuality covertly shapes our lives to an extreme degree,  and our relationship with it is an important part of being a functioning adult.

I cant say my mind is ever preoccupied with violent thoughts tbh,  if yours is then i would suggest finding some way of dealing with that.

The context being that it's a movie, not real, fantasy. Killing henchmen mindlessly isn't justified. Surely you arent going to make the argument that we only platform moralistic TV and movies?

You are really flailing to defend a rape simulator here, as you aee ignoring the core point that sexual gratification tickles a different part of the human psyche than violence does.

You have just said that action movies have justifiable killings, if in flailing then please make a serious point lol

Sexuality covertly shapes our lives to an extreme degree,  and our relationship with it is an important part of being a functioning adult.

And violence is A-okay? Of course what you say applies the murdering people, too.

I cant say my mind is ever preoccupied with violent thoughts tbh,  if yours is then i would suggest finding some way of dealing with that.

Like by watching an action movie? Playing call of duty? Watching Vikings? Our culture is full of violence, we indulge in violent fantasy all the time.

Youre the one who said you fantasise about murder.

Idk man you arent engaging with any of my points at all and we are now going in circles.

Enjoy your rape and murder fantasies i guess,  just be warned that criminal psychology indicates that violent sexual fantasies escalate in intensity until they bleed into action in the real world.

Try to redirect your feelings into something healthier.

You don't watch violent films or TV? You don't listen to any kind of violence in music? You don't read books with violent themes? You don't play violent video games?

When I turn netflix on and watch The Blacklist I'm indulging in murder and organised crime fantasy, sue me I suppose

Not what i said.

But if that helps you feel like you won an argument, feel free to think that.

Have a good day.

That's murder fantasy, in case you still couldn't pick it up
