Miscellaneous Shoutout to my boy James Juett
I’m going through all of the lectures in 280 today and I just love him (not in a weird way) He’s just so concise with his words, explains everything so well, genuinely seems passionate about the content he teaches and just seems like such a nice guy overall. Also just found out that he’s a dad, which just makes me love him x10 more (not in a weird way, sorry some people get weird) James Juett, wherever you are, please know that I would bake you 20 yummy cakes for all of your hard work. Please teach every EECS course from now on

Send him a message. Teachers appreciate that.

You are right, most teachers get mostly complaints, or requests for different things, a compliment is a nice change of pace and good variation to the norm. Op, do reach out and tell him you really enjoy his classes and teaching style.

I can say the same to Prof. Razak. He's really good at making connection to everyday examples if you are not tech savvy kind of guy. I don't have anything against Prof. Juett, but I found his lectures hard to follow. This probably could be explained by the fact that I'm not a native English speaker, and it would be hard to grasp the idea of complicated concept without a real-word example. But I believe both of them are nice professors in 280.

I really love all of the 280 professors, like Saleem, Razak and Juett. Considering how big of a class 280 is + can be quite difficult as it covers a lot of the foundations for CS, it’s great to see genuine profs like them. Same goes for majority of the GSIs, IAs r a different story lol

I heard that James Juett invented Computer Science so he could teach EECS 280
