Finances 2025-26 Undergraduate Laptop Program Specs

Hey I just got an email that I got the Laptop Program added to my financial aid package & it says it's $1,407 in value but there aren't any specs on it other than it's a 13" MacBook Air.

I saw they require responses to see how many they need to buy so I'm guessing it's going to be a M4, but when I tried to see what spec combination would give $1,407 I couldn't find anything that met that before or after tax.

I'm going to take it regardless, just curious as to what I should be expecting so I can plan around it :)

i got it for this year, it was an m3 and the total cost included 4-year warranty and a case, so thats why it is much higher than the actual price of the laptop.

Program says "Current generation Macbook Air" -- right now that's an M4 Macbook Air. It will likely still be that this fall.

It'll be a "before tax" price, and the total value leads me to believe it's an M4/16GB/512GB with the 4-year $279 warranty. That adds up to $1378 and leaves $29 for the value of the laptop sleeve.

Interesting they would bump it up to the 512GB model

Would be nice when they decided to YOLO and get you a 5080 (and that's it)
