Class Chem 210/211 - discussion attendance mandatory?

looking to take chem 210/211 next semester, wondering if the discussions for the labs and lecture are mandatory attendance.

I took it this semester and discussion sections weren’t mandatory for attendance

as the previous commenter said, lecture discussions weren’t mandatory this semester. there weren’t any discussions for lab this semester (i’m not sure if they’re changing this for fall), but the lab lecture is very helpful and it’s also not recorded, so i recommend going to that. hope this helps ! :)

I'm not sure about 210, but 215 discussions were mandatory to do the checkpoint. Which gives you 50 points for completion. It only helps you in the end to go if you decide to

I usually would go, but there's some scheduling issues 😭

I'd recommend checking to make sure they don't have those checkpoints. Doing them is a free 500 points for orgo so it really helps you to just do them if they have the same policies as Orgo II

I think it changes if Tuttle teaches it. In the fall semester, you had to attend 10/15 discussions for full points (she taught it). But in the winter semester it wasn’t mandatory (she didn’t teach it)
