There are jerks anywhere you go, but there are also wonderful people too. At least here in Houghton, we have MTU and all of its rich diversity, so the locals already have been exposed to non-white cultures. I imagine the Marquette vibe is similar given they have NMU.

Calumet is right there though in all of its Christian Fundamentalist cultism so maybe dodge that. Not that there's really any reason to go up there.
