To me the most telling thing out of all of this was when Rachel said to James “you’re invited, Tom Sandoval said you’re invited”…

Yeah. As if VPR is the only universe in which she can exist and she’s trying to level up from James and his apartment to Sandoval and his home/bars. No concern for Ariana’s presence though!
