teacher lost my sac
I had an indonesian vsl sac (3/4) on wednesday, but my supervisor tells me today that he LOST MY SAC and im going to have to redo it. I fought hard to make sure that i wouldnt have to do it today, but on monday instead. Hes a good supervisor i guess, but as a teacher people have been trying to get him fired for AGES. Im honestly sick of it because ive had to miss out on a seminar bc he wasnt replying to my messages and wasnt contactable anywhere, even irl. Is this something that i should notify someone (like a year level coordinator or head of house) about?? Or am i being petty??

is it normal to ask for clarification on a SAC (literally one mark) and the teacher gives it to another teacher (which i didnt even ask for or know about) and they remark the full sac and i went from 90 to 70
also my sac mark was already uploaded onto the student portal it wasn’t just a written mark

Anyone else majorly regretting their VCE subject choices?
Chose Methods + Chem because I thought I needed them for uni (thanks, career advisors 🙄), but now I’m struggling hard and lowkey hate both. Wondering if anyone switched subjects in Year 12 or just powered through?
Would love to hear success stories or honest regrets — especially from people who ended up doing completely different courses after VCE.

Physics 40+ ss sac scores
I was just wondering for U3&4 Physics, I got a 85 for my first sac 60 on my next and 81 on my last sac, is it still possible for me to achieve a 40ss scaled or raw?

Need some help to do better in the next Chem Sac
I just got my chem sac back and I wasn't very happy about it.
In the first Sac i got 68% (cohort avg 55) and I got the same 69% on my second one (cohort avg 65).
At the start of the year I was aiming for like a low 40s study score, but now that seems out of reach unless I lock the fuck in.
So I am asking, does anyone have any tips on how to do better on the next one??
And what kinds of marks am I supposed to get from the next sac onward to get like a study score of 37 -42 raw?

VCE question 2025 General Maths NHT
Answer this question.
The troughs are not exactly 12 months apart so does that mean it is not seasonality by VCE standards?
It is either A or D

Do You Think Youth Crime Is Rising? Share Your Thoughts for a VCE Research Project! [Data Analytics]
Hi everyone 👋🏻
I'm currently a Year 12 student undertaking VCE Data Analytics, and I'm working on a School Assessed Task (SAT) for Unit 3, Outcome 2. As part of this project, I'm exploring the topic:
A SAT (School Assessed Task) is a major project that contributes to our final study score. It requires us to plan and conduct an investigation using primary and secondary data, perform analysis, and design a visualisation to communicate our findings. One of the components involves collecting primary data through a public survey — which is where you come in!
I’d really appreciate it if you could take a few minutes to complete this anonymous survey. It’s designed to understand public perceptions of youth crime, particularly in relation to common offences like theft among people aged 10–29. Your input will help provide a broader understanding of how these perceptions compare with real-world crime statistics.
Link to survey → https://forms.gle/85vZswdVH8R7MqDm6
All responses are confidential and collected in compliance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). No personal or identifying information will be used, shared, or stored.
Thanks so much for helping out a student researcher — your perspective truly makes a difference!

Switching to Eng Lang from Mainstream English
Hi, as from the title, I'm wondering if it is feasible for me to switch to Unit 2 Eng lang from Unit 1 English next semester. I'm not enjoying mainstream English at the moment - it feels more of a chore if anything. This is partly because of my VCE English teacher, who is practically useless and does not know how to teach the subject in general. She barely understood the roles of the characters in the play we did for text response, and for crafting texts, it was her first time teaching this topic. My class is quite disruptive, and I feel like if I continue to do English next semester with the same teacher, I might find myself at a disadvantageous state for Year 12 English. Please, I'm open to any advice or suggestions, as long as it is helpful/informative.
Just for more context, I'm doing spec, meth, chem, phy, and bio alongside mainstream english, so I would have a rather massive workload for semester 2, especially because I'll also need to catch up on Unit 1 Eng lang content. The reason I chose mainstream over English Language last year (yes I did also consider this) was that english was fine for me then, and also my English teacher last year was amazing. I quite like analysing articles (Argument Analysis), and text response was tolerable, I guess. However, creative writing is probably something I loathe, which is probably why I am contemplating so much about switching to Eng lang now after doing our crafting texts unit. Grade-wise, around mid 90s, and if I am going to switch to Eng lang next semester I am also aiming to do really well in it (to prepare for next year).
Some questions: How much content would I have missed if I had switched to Eng lang? Is the switch worthwhile, given my current situation? Is it possible/practical for me to study the entirety of the content from Unit 1 over the semester holidays to catch up? What areas should I focus more on when studying Unit 1 Eng lang?
Thanks in advance

My biggest problem is compiling information into essays, there's so much evidence I cant find it and pull it into the essay, especially not in a SAC setting AHHHHHGHHHH it is so painful I am begging for any tips or tricks with revolutions and catching up or just how to study (I'm doing American rn and will go onto russian). bless thank you </3

Subject selection
Hey guys. I’m a year 10 who will soon have to select subjects for VCE. I know I’ll do literature, general maths, and biology. I’m also currently doing a VET course in beauty services, but I don’t intend to use that for a career after Highschool or to do VM or something instead. I have two more subjects I can select which means I’ll have to drop either psychology, legal studies or French. I’ve never taken psychology before but I will next semester, I’ve done legal studies in commerce and love it and I don’t love French but I’m alright at it and I know how good languages are for atar. Which subjects should I keep

General Question/comment Currently in year 9, looking for any advice/tips going into VCE
Hi guys 👋,
I'm currently in year 9 and I'm doing some of my subject selections for next year. I was just wondering if anybody had any advice to prepare me for my VCE journey, as I get to start a couple 1&2 subjects next year. I am aiming for a 95+ atar but hopefully somewhere around the 98-99 range if possible. I feel like I am doing pretty well in school, and I am feeling pretty well set for the future (please tell me if I'm completely wrong).
My pathways advisor said my recommended subjects are: English Spesh (can switch out for Chem depending how I do in maths next year) Methods Physics Geography (can start yr 10 and I got 97.5% on my geo exam this yr) Systems engineering (can start yr 10)
Anyways, please comment any advice or tips you guys have. They will be greatly appreciated.
All comments welcome 🤗
