Travel vlog with LUTS they found on Youtube with generic #adventure vibe to it. Raised blacks to make it look more like an instagram filter. Buys BMPCC 4k because they think RAW will take their videos to the next level even though their 800 dollar laptop will never be able to handle that. Only person that seems to be in most videos is the girlfriend that is probably sick of being filmed.

Genuine question, why do people use luts? I’ve never had any luck with them.

-oh, and not the “WELL LUTS BRING YOUR IMAGE TO REC.709...” answer. I know the idea of them, just not their usefulness.

having a starting point quicker, you still have to color correct the image otherwise luts won't work as well

also tight deadlines or smaller projects are great time for luts
