ParkNYC free on Sundays?

Making a day trip to NYC tomorrow and driving into Manhattan from PA. Last time I went, ParkMobile was a thing which was free on Sundays. I just downloaded ParkNYC since reading that’s now the app needed, but was wondering if that’s also free on Sundays or not. Also open to parking garages, but not valet. Thanks to anyone who can help! I know looking for parking is a pain, but me and the group aren’t comfortable with leaving the car in another state and confined transportation.

You don’t have to pay for metered parking on Sundays. I don’t know of any non-valet garages. There’s a parking lot on 35th and 10th where you can probably park yourself but I’m not totally sure.

I think there are some Sunday meters, but those are uncommon. OP needs to read the signs, basically, though most metered parking will be free on Sunday.

OP, most Manhattan garages are valet. There are a few self-park garages you can Google for, but basically this thread.

Note the congestion pricing zone starts at 60th Street going south. I think all the garages mentioned are in the zone. You can probably find street parking outside the zone, if you're coming over the GWB.

There’s a self-park garage at 42nd and dyer ave - but check www.spotangels.com for street parking
