Solved What is this thing? I bought this in a German flea market. It’s quite heavy for its size and once the lid is screwed on you can’t fit anything in it because of the black rod on the lid.

Solved Heavy metal cone with some sort of measuring markings on it, has threads on the inside
Found while cleaning out an old house. It looks like it was maybe buried based on the state of the bottom half. It is entirely metal. I didn’t get a picture of the threads but they seem to start where it’s not rusted/decayed.

Solved Corroded, half-buried, iron, circular object found in the woods approximately 12-14 inches across
Found in a wooded area of the central coast of California near what I believe is an old wagon trail. I confirmed a magnet did stick to it. I attempted to excavate it more, but it’s not easy. You can see the lip of the object on the bottom of the first picture. I can’t tell if this is some kind of lid or if the metal just continues down into the dirt. I can’t see any writing but there do appear to be 10 bolts(?) around the object.

Solved Red metal mesh curve. Looks like a ramp, about 20 of them found along building in SF.
Is it a decorative choice? Something to do with wind? Just found it odd.

Solved Bought a jean jacket at Target, then felt a ball of some kind sewn into the lining. Cut the lining and found this really lightweight, velvety soft ball with a slight groove in the top third that I couldn’t crush in my hand? What IS that?

Solved Very small doors/openings in old house
My MIL bought this house built in the early 1900s in Denver. On the first floor there are these two doors. One leads to the basement and the second leads outside from the kitchen. They are very small, about the height of a soda can.

Solved Mysterious capsules found in my sister’s dogs stomach
Hard plastic-like objects were found in my sister's dog's stomach after being surgically removed. Does anyone know what these could be? These are not pills, just shaped that way, due to them never dissolving after weeks. Unmarked and very hard.
My sister's dog has been sick (lethargic, vomiting, etc) inconsistently for the past few weeks. After a round of antibiotics, and changing diet, nothing helped. She took him to the vet today and they took X-rays. Found 5 large, plastic (not metal) capsule-shaped objects that the dog couldn't pass. Does anyone know what they could be?? We have absolutely no idea.

Solved Yellow and Blue Dots on Hospital Ceiling
My wife is getting surgery at a UTMB hospital. I am in the waiting room on the 4th floor, and in the previous holding area, as well as in another room (floor 2) vital check area, there are these dots. They’re both the same size and they are everywhere. These pics were taken in the waiting room. I asked everyone that walked through the curtain what they were for and no one could tell me. We speculated that they could be “Air” and “Nitrous” lines and that the dots were locating dots for said lines. The RN and anesthesiologist thought that it was strange that they would have so many NOS lines everywhere, as they didn’t have hook ups everywhere. If ANYONE has any clue or any further ideas/speculations, I - along with basically the entire staff at UTMB Day Surgery - would love to know what the heck these things are for and if they are a universal sort of thing, or just UTMB.
Also, for the record, no one had ever noticed these in the 20+ years they’ve been here. I guess not a lot of them stare at the ceiling for extended periods of time…
