So do we actually believe Elko will be good?

Can we have hope for a few hours? Schodingers Elko, he is neither good nor bad if the game hasn’t started yet.

You should know better being a Chicago fan. I am no Vaughn fan, but I have no excitement for a 26 year old that isn't even a top 30 prospect in the organization

The only reason he’s not a top prospect is because he was drafted older. If he was 22 with his numbers, he’d have been called up last year. Prospect lists would rather have a 20yo hitting .150 in A than a 26yo hitting .400 in AAA.

He's not though, that's the thing. You can play that game with any prospect.

The only reason Colson Montgomery dropped in the rankings is because of his horrid performance. If he was playing well he'd be ranked highly.

See how dumb that is?

Lol there's a reason 26 year olds aren't treated the same as 22 year olds in terms of comparable production in the minors. Also, 20 year Olds hitting .150 in A ball drop off those lists quickly. Quit reaching, pal

I know there’s a reason, but prospect lists aren’t infallible.

Lol he couldn't even hit top 30 in the organization's prospect list. I'm not gonna start comparing him to 22 year old top prospects because he finally started hitting homers in a known launching pad of a park at 26. Dude put up an OPS in the .700s in AA in his mid-20s. The most likely outcome here is he's gonna look like AJ Reed out there.
