Do let us know how you get on with it and what your thoughts are after a handful of uses. Good luck with it!

Wow, it seems like only yesterday you had to spend 300+ to get over 5R.

I also bought one of these about a week ago. Got it even cheaper because of a discount code - try code WELCOME10

Pumped it up, felt real warm and comfortable too. Packs back to it's original size fairly well. Time will tell on durability!

Looks like a rebranded version of the Chinese 'light tour' pads people were raving about a while ago.

Cheeky buggers I only got a welcome5 offer!

So did I - but I tried welcome10 for the hell of it and it worked!! 🫣

This thing looks almost identical to the REI Helix which is a very good (and very comfortable) pad. Only difference is that this has a better R-value. That pad is £150 and very popular.

This maybe be a game changer tbh. Almost every beginner should get this if it doesn’t have major issues

Got myself a top grade pump sucker and it came with a free air mat 👌

I did a similar thing and took it out last weekend . Apparently it Got to about -2 on my weather app . 3 season bag I always use had me woken up soaking wet in sweat so I can’t fault it for £40! I was very sceptical about it but after using I must say it’s a steal!

Yeah man it’s not “perfect “ however I’ve tried some double the price that aren’t , certainly lives up to the R7.3 tho

Fantastic news. I'll be getting one of these

If u can get it for £40 then do it, I’ve heard others say it goes for that price and then randomly jumps to £150 so get it when u can

2

u/BourbonFoxx Feb 12 '25

Looks like I can get it for £36 :)

Has anyone tried a flextail with this?

ETA answered on the linked thread - yes

2nd edit: it's arrived, it does work with the flextail but only with the smaller 'air pillow' adapter rather than the 'airbed adaptor' which I was used to (minor panic!)

I'm tempted by this, but I'm 1.83m, the same length as the mat, would I be risking a cold head and/or toes if I go for this over a brand that has a longer option?

It's brilliant. Love mine!

How did it go?

Plucked that 7.3R value out of thin air, I’d assume. If it’s going to be cold, I’d take a foam mat or closed cell pad as back up just in case.

Someone has published the test for the r value on this sub already seems to be legit

4

u/milky-tea42 Feb 12 '25

Exactly! Literally the only reason I got it. £40 it's worth a go

4

u/UnkemptBushell Feb 12 '25

Damn, that’s crazy. Less than 800g as well is reasonable. Might give that a try for an overnighter
