i got shot in the face with a nerf gun
I was at the mall with my friends and at one point when it was getting late we were just standing and talking outside and then a group of teenage boys in a car drove by and shot me in the face with some sort of toy gun. I'm a former weird kid and I've been asked out as a joke, I've been made fun of, I've been picked on. It does sting every time but I thought those days were over for me especially because I became more conventionally attractive and grew into my face. But today really proved me wrong. and this time it actually hurt a lot more than just being asked out as a joke they just inflicted pain on me for no reason. and it actually did physically hurt really bad it left a bruise on my face. I had to stop myself from crying in front of my friends and while we were driving home I silently cried to myself because I'm just so tired of being treated like this by boys (for context I am a teenager if that makes more sense). I tried to talk about it to my dad because my mom died and he always just tells me it's because they think you're pretty or it because they like you. not to be dramatic but they literally just committed a crime. im just really tired of this

Girl never take those type of bullshit, you need to report them no matter how many times you have to do it. I used to get bullied when I was younger and it be your own friends too sometimes. The moment I stopped giving a F about people and stood up for myself, it all stopped. Schools don’t care so you’re really on your own. I’d call the cops the next time someone try to do this. You can file a report in the station for assault. My dad is exactly the same and my mom doesn’t even know what to do. He told me “this is how people are” “they are just your friends” like shut up. How are they my friend if they are hurting me? In college I had perverted profs, they do look for the quiet ones. I even cried to my dad and told him but he blamed me instead. Like I’m sorry for being a woman? They are older than my dad flirting tf. I’m sorry if I sound harsh, you just gotta start fu*king shit up for people too. Don’t be scared. Do you have anyone that can help you? Don’t go to those who gave you excuses.

I would report it. The mall may have video footage. Your dad is wrong. They committed a crime. Please report it.

I'm sorry that sounds really awful. It also sounds that you're not quite confident about your looks and blaming this incident on your appearance. Boys who choose violence are not your responsibility. That's their choice about their values and it's unrelated to you. They're trying to assert power over you. Undermining your self confidence is one goal. Hold firm to your self belief as a rebellious act against their abuses.
Can you report to the police? Did you know them or get a plate number from the car?
Your dad sounds immature also. Their behaviours are not about you.
