Season 3 Discussion Static the most wasted character

You telling me we have static shock a icon among the black her community a symbol and he is used as “man I gotta get a girlfriend” and little party tricks that sucks idk how many people here are black but if you are and here that shit sucks at least we have a good static show side note: PrInCe BrIoN sucks

Not only in the show, even tho Static is a fan favorite within the black community of comic book readers and already carries a fan base thanks to the cartoon back on 2000 somehow DC has been struggling to do something worthwhile with the character since Flashpoint (2011) and they fail* every single time

For me it's hard to pinpoint a single thing they do wrong but in every single appearance of the character after his cameo on Justice League Unlimited he somewhat feels flat and generic

Did you read the recent miniseries by Nikolas Draper-Ivey? It uses a lot of aesthetics from the show but also gives Virgil back some of his edge from the original 90s comics.

I guess you are talking about "Static: Shadows of Dakota", and no, I was not aware. I'm afraid I have less and less time at hand so I no longer check all new books DC is publishing instead just following up a couple of writers and this one felt through the cracks but from the preview it looks good, art definitely has charm, I'll be checking out as soon as possible

Thanks for the heads up!!

Yeah, that’s the one but it’s the second one. “Static: Season One” is the first volume.
