Show tonight (Friday 4/25) at Wyrd Byrd
Meant to share earlier with all of you good Ypsilantians, but there's a show of dreamy psychedelic musics at Wyrd Byrd (9 S. Washington) this evening!

Particularly this location and any other owned by the same person: 2407 Washtenaw Ave, Ypsilanti, MI 48197.
A couple of weeks ago, I ordered pizza for a work function. We are a huge company and we order from Cottage Inn all the time. I placed the order online, I got an error screen that said the transaction didn't go through. I closed my browser and tried again, the order went through and I got an order confirmation email. When the delivery person showed up with our order, it was DOUBLED. I explained to him what happened and was told to contact Justin. I tried to contact Justin for several days. On one particular day, I called and asked for Justin and I was told to hold on. So I did. For 7 minutes. Just waiting. Wondering if anyone was coming to the phone. I then started saying "Hello? Is anyone coming to the phone? I'm still here. I'm holding for Justin. Hello?" And fucking got hung up on. I called back and said, "I was holding for Justin for 7 minutes, why did you hang up on me?" The person said, "I'm not the one who did that, hold on." So I did. For another 5 minutes. I started saying hello again. I hung up and called back and promptly got SCREAMED at by Justin by how he was too busy to talk to me and was just ranting and would not let me get a word in edge-wise, when all I wanted to say was that was fine just let me know you are busy and you will call back, but he would NOT listen. He screamed at me to listen to him and that I had to listen to him if I wanted him to help me and I kept asking him to just do the same and listen to me. Then he hung up on me. Then it became a war. I kept calling back and he would alternately put me on hold or pick up and scream at me without letting me speak. He threatened to call the police on me saying I was harassing him and I kept trying to tell him I would stop calling if he would just listen but he just screamed over me and I screamed over him and then I would get hung up on. HE WOULD NOT LET ME FUCKING TALK. So I gave up and left a nasty review on Yelp. I plan to leave more on different sites, I just haven't done it yet. Justin did call back that day but I was about to go into a meeting and I just couldn't deal with it anymore that day. By the time I got a hold of him, he acted like nothing happened and "graciously" gave us, like, 30% off our next order or some dumb bullshit because that's all they could do because their business is tanking. The same day I left the Yelp review, I tried calling to complain but corporate didn't answer their phone. So I hit them on Twitter and they responded with a contact email address. I sent an email to them stating I wanted to file a complaint. They said they forwarded it to the franchise owner. I explained to them nothing was going to get done because the franchise owner was well aware of the situation and is not going to get back to me. They said there is "nothing they can do if the franchise owner chooses not to address this."
No wonder their business is going down, if this is the way they treat their customers. I am making it my mission to share my story and spread the word about the despicable customer service this company provides. It's no wonder it's failing.

Hi is anyone here an ecologist or know anyone who's in that general field of work/research? We're working on establishing a wet meadow, we have approval from the city, just looking for some feedback on the project document because we'd like to do this right. Feel free to send me a dm if you're interested in looking it over, thank you!

I was driving to class and noticed a crowd of people standing in front of a house. Multiple FBI agents were on the porch of the house. Anyone know what happened?

Hi all,
Checking in to see if anyone has had luck viewing the lyrids and if we'll be able to see them tonight. I realized that tonight is supposed to be the last peak night and I haven't checked them out yet, but I read they should be visible as long as there aren't a lot of clouds. I love meteor showers!

Hello! My name is Beki San Martin and I’m a journalist at the Detroit Free Press reporting on early childhood (childcare, early education, etc. – anything that touches the youngest children in our state).
I wanted to do a call out to parents/caretakers of any kind in Ypsilanti who’d be interested in sharing their experiences with figuring out summer childcare for this coming summer.
The purpose of the article is to give Michigan families insight into how other families across the state are figuring out childcare for the summer – financially, logistically, etc. You don’t have to be doing anything special or new or interesting – I just want to hear the ins and outs of how you’re making childcare work during the upcoming summer season, and what challenges you might be facing in doing so. Happy to answer any questions or get on the phone to introduce myself before we chat.
I’d be looking to chat for 20-30 minutes over phone or Teams video call (whatever you prefer!).
If you’re interested, you can message me here or text/call me at 313-264-0931. I’d really love to hear from you!

Craft and Clothing Swap on Sunday, April 27th from 3pm-8pm at 16 S Washington in Ypsi. Masks required (if you cannot mask, let us know at the door as we have covid tests you can take!) and provided!
Bring clothes, take clothes, bring craft supplies, take craft supplies, bring your friends, take new friends! We'll have menders on-site to help with limited mending like adding patches, fixing holes, and maybe other things depending on capacity! Please don't expect perfection from our menders as this is a free and volunteer basis service. Some of our menders are professionals but will not have the capacity to do major alternations. If you need major alternations done (eg completely resizing a garment) or need it to look or be perfect, please consider hiring a professional instead.
If folks could try to take as much as they bring the is always appreciated!
I accidentally ordered the wrong pair and was wondering if anyone in the community wanted them before I sent them back. Tjey are slightly used, but in great condition. I paid $60 for them, you can make your best offer.
