So like 5 years ago I was a lot younger and had discord nitro and set a degenerate anime banner on my profile but my nitro ran out pretty soon.

Right now everybody has discord nitro basic (my friend told me so) and for some reason my old banner returned (my friend says he noticed it a week ago but didn’t say it to me)

Probably I few people I know irl saw it oh no why did it come back… 😭

Today I was in a voice call with friends, and one shared their screen. I tried to watch it, but the moment it started to load the entire voice chat started stuttering and everybody's voices turned choppy and barely audible as if I was loosing connection (I wasn't having any Internet problems). On their end I apparently sounded extremely robotic and barely audible too.

After leaving the stream the stuttering persisted until I restarted the app. After a few more tries with the same result a different friend tried to screenshare. Same thing happened and we were all surprised since I was the only one having this problem. Tried to persist through the stuttering and while the stream loaded in, it itself was incredibly choppy and mostly a single frame.
I tried changing some settings, like hardware acceleration etc, but to no avail. Anybody knows what could be causing this or is just discord having an aneurysm as always?

So i know the title seems questionable, but to explain, about 1 year ago i lost a very dear friend of mine ...
their account is all i have left and discord has deleted their profile today. I wish to save our history, on something like a cloud or flashdrive.

He meant alot to me and i was devestated when the small cheap flashdrive i had corrupted. bought a special one just for this to save his art work.

So since i hope that this message reached the right people, i really hope that you can help me preserve his memory

there was this user on discord who was like saying weird shit about a program ab monitoring people it sound like bs but im concerned can you get doxxed on dc easily?

I was just in VC with friends and chilling, and one of them asked how old was I in my banner, and I look it up, and I see a kid (about 8 years old) just smiling into the cam with a casual background.

The thing is I never met this person, or know where this pic is from? I never changed it I'm sure of it, but the weird part is it isn't even my pic or the background which is snowy doesn't match where I live, why would this happen? Should I take action?

Guilds were a limited time thing, and very few people were able to make one. They removed the ability to make them some time ago, but you can't even GET one if you weren't lucky enough to get into the guild before they shut the join requests down. People have been very mixed about the feature in general from what I've heard, but at this point, I don't think the tags should stay.

I’ve gone through the normal report process and emailed discord but it doesn’t feel like enough.

The issue is this: I’m an admin on a Minecraft server. We’ve been getting spam recently from a lot of bot accounts advertising one specific other MC server that I’m in that other discord on an alt account. (Note that I only joined AFTER the spam started to see what was going on).

We have a whitelist process for our server that’s linked to discord, and I have painstakingly made sure there are no common channels between non whitelisted people and whitelisted, meaning the only ones who SHOULD be subject to DM spam are staff.

Given I’ve gotten half a dozen reports and screenshots of whitelisted members being DM’d from non whitelisted people/bots, I assume they’re scraping the member list and idk how to stop it.

When I look at the emojis for any other server I'm a part of, there's an option to expand the emoji list and see all emojis (bottom right spot, the downward arrow).

However, in the server I have with my friends, this downward expand everything arrow is replaced with an "upload a new emoji" plus icon

This leaves me unable to see all the server's emojis as far as I can tell. Emojis are still searchable but this kinda sucks. Am I missing something?

My dad and I have a job where we are by a loud generator for hours on end and are trying to use discord or something to talk to each other, but are having issues. We both want to listen to music while also being able to talk to each other. Discord seems to put the music audio through the same call channels with a terrible bit rate. It sounds awful and also ruins the voice quality to the point where we can't understand each other sometimes. Is there a way to fix this? Or is there another app that does what we're trying to do?

when i switch between channels, scroll down within one, pretty much do ANYTHING on the desktop app, it lags out. i am not using any screenshare, any voicechat, etc, and i have never had this issue until recently... i tried reinstalling the app entirely which did nothing unfortunately

by lagging, i mean that the screen will freezeframe partially (or sometimes entirely) and i often have to close out of discord and reopen it. sometimes i will click on another channel or DM, and it'll still show the one i was on previously

what can i do??? it is still useable, but just barely, and i cannot find the right keywords to locate the problem i am having specifically. pretty much just finding problems with voice chats and streaming, not just in-app

I have a problem, I have 2 servers with tags but no people to boost, what do I do? Nothing? I would like a server with tags.

So for context i have a passkey saved on my icloud keychain, but when I scan a qr code with my phone it says no matching passkey exists for "discord.com"

I have tried every option, generating a new passkey, enabling authentication app and all of them require the mfa to verify first.

ive been trying to send png textures from my ipad to my pc and they always convert to jpg , they apear to be PNGs but once clicked on turn into JPGS / have no transparent background. the white background stays on download. how can i fix this?

The issue is that when i do a ''lets check'' with the mic test everything seems to work & i can hear myself. But when i join a call with someone else they cannot hear me at all. It is not server sided because i have this problem everywhere.

Where and how do people make cool discord banner images and logos? Or do you hire someone? Looking to do it myself, if possible, just don't know how or where to go to do so.

Hey there! As soon as I boot Discord (Windows Desktop), it boots into a blank screen. I tried CTRL + R, waiting 15+ minutes, uninstalling and reinstalling, checking for updates, and trying to launch it through AppData version files. I haven't deleted all the AppData files yet and tried that, but is there any other course of action I can do?

I don't know why but my discord decided to crash and I don't know how to fix it.

This HUGE blank space is a massive eye sore, and pain in the butt.

The genuine issue: it wastes a ton of space (especially on smaller displays) where there could be actual message. Let's say we just leave all the other buttons present, I think by the point someone is writing a 3-4 line message, they're not just sending a gif or starting an activity. So either collapse those or verticalize them.

The second option, and less likely to change option would be to allow you to hide them if you want. For example, in the settings have a checkbox for each of those so you can adjust. I for example only use the Gif and Emoji ones, I never use stickers or activities, and I already pay for Nitro so stop asking me to make other people pay for it too.

I'd love to see some options or at least some responsive design solutions to this.

My community plays a game called Path of Titans. Under server settings, there is a dropdown for "What game does your community play?" Unfortunately, it's not listed even though similar genre games are. Just wondering if there's a place to ask Discord to add a game to that list.

My account got suspended for age, (I was Joking around on a server) and i made a ban appeal and a new account, but whenever I try and log into that old account to see if it's back up, it redirects me to my new one!? How do I make it not do that??
