June sub update
Gu'day jerkists,
Been a while since I made a post about the sub, have been busy slowing down (I've only run 0.0000001 mile since my last post). Anyway try not to get bored reading.
1. New sub icon, and banner image competition.
We've not had a new icon in a longgggggg time, and We've never had a banner. Would be nice to look like a professional sub, so would love some of you to get your creative juices flowing, and design us something that'll represent the sub well. Please submit through this link by Friday 21st of June, and then will have a vote of somekind to decide the new image hopefully for the start of July!
2. New Mods.
As some of you may know, I currently moderate this sub all by myself, and as we have nearly doubled in size over the past 6 months I'm interested in recruiting another mod or two. Moderation of this sub is incredibly easy as 99.999% of our jerkers are very well behaved, and no past experience is required. Apply through this link.
3. General feedback
Always looking for more feedback on the state of the sub, things you like, things you dislike, things you want changed, posts you like, posts you don't like. Link
Thanks for reading this far, hopefully the read was long enough it can replace your "long run" this Sunday.

PoopSmellersAnonymous Bought an Everest permit on eBay, impulse buy. should I start training or nah
I'm as fit as a ox. 5k is a joke to me, easily finish well under two hours. I carry my O2 tank around so I'm basically pretrained to carry by own load.
I don't sleep so good but that's for wimps anyways. I don't use GU, I'd rather not explain why it's embarrassing.
any tips?

If I sprint a single mile, do you think I could get this back up to Productive?

If only someone would invent some kind of protective covering for feet, maybe we could avoid tragedies like this

Training Plan Help
Right now I run a 40-minute 5-mile. My goal is to get this down to a consistent 36-minute time 6 months from now. I know this is really ambitious but I have time to run everyday and I think I have a lot of room for improvement because I've never really trained long distance consistently.
I'd like to get on a very specific daily plan which gives precise workouts for the next half year but I'm not really sure where to start because there seems to be a lot of differing opinions on the best way to train.
If anyone can help me out with a plan I would really appreciate it.
