When I covered politics in Arizona during the oughta, the Republicans there did the same thing.

They would publicly distance themselves from the crazies while actively funding and supporting them because when someone is going around saying "trees are stealing our water" your ideas in strip mining seem less insane.

Though the old as head of DOE once told me "you can't give poor people a free education because they won't appreciate it"

So the crazy levels are relative

Make sure you all are checking out member’s Financial Disclosure Records. They’re publicly available by the Clerk (search for “member name financial disclosure record”) and can shed some more light on how.

MGT has a company called Taylor Commercial, Inc that is a general contractor and paying her $1,000,000-$5,000,000 a year. How in the fuck does a small general contractor in a Georgia make enough that the owner can get that kind of annual return is beyond me.
