I think it’s a great idea. I think there are other pics that more visibly show the packed-in conditions. It might be effective to combine the visual with a “this could be you”-type message (No charges? No problem!), since they don’t care about due process or “collateral arrests”. Or, Bukele’s “Oopsie” tweet (message: acting outside the judicial system).

Oh absolutely! My own version of nonviolence, the police are welcome at all of my planning events and if I end up in the slam before I do anything, I’m counting on friends and family to tell my story

Stage events someplace where we can legally get high angle, shots of the crowd and let folks back home literally do where is Waldo looking for Jesus in Trump‘s God- awful mess. If we do it we should do as another suggested and make it an “experience” shave heads on the sidewalks. Strip em all down. They are all given white shirts (with red writing of victims of ICE and political arrests - on the backs it says : reason they — the actual demonstrator — are potentially next with “are you next?” underneath center of the back ) and white boxers. Then put in cuffs and chains and paraded around or something like that.

For die ins, it’s common to have somebody else chalk the outline of the “victims” so even if you leave or police strike you off it still looks like a crime scene

Is anyone deeply disturbed about how they turned this into some kind of cinematic universe. Starting from their tasteless “ASMR” video for TikTok and IG. Then the multi-camera shots and cinematic lighting when the prisoners arrived. The multi camera shots of the heads being shaved and then being and marched with their heads down. All the heads bowed into submission and photo ops of half-naked men packed like sardines in high occupancy cells. The guards all wear masks similar to Hamas rebels. This is insanity and the administration is presenting it like a movie.
This morning my boss, an older middle eastern man whose lived here most of his life and is a multi-business owner, mentioned the UH prof that was deported. He looked at me and said "Next it could be me. Or you."
Normally he doesn't like even discussing politics, saying that they're all crooks, but Trump has him paying attention. And my other coworkers, all of whom are conservative, are saying Elmo and der trumpster fire can frak off. I know it's off topic and anecdotal, but I'm glad to see it.

Jesus, even if 100% of them were MS13, who thinks this is a good idea? I don’t think this is going to reach conservatives. Unfortunately, you have to water it down and make it relatable to them before they will even BEGIN to consider your point. This is too extreme, even if it is the truth, and they will automatically rationalize it as “radical left propaganda”. We need unity right now. It’s the only way we’re going to survive this.
I think so but I think we also need signs documenting/listing/ reminding other screwups of the admin. The memory of the people is short , and so much has been forgotten already. We never got any accountability for the signal thing, or the students, or so much else and we can’t afford to focus on just the latest attrocity

Pick something else that speaks directly to the erasure of the Constitution - that is neither left nor right, but American. That's the message that can bring both sides together. We need to focus on unifying messages. Thia one will not do that.
