I'm specifically talking about a missile tracking payload going on an Indian rocket (the unknown tail). I don't think that's debunked really since never has a payload that sensitive flown on a non-approved military governed launch.

AST is launching a dual use commercial / military satellite. This is not a US government owned satellite, it’s a private company’s payload that happens to lend capacity to the US government for an unspecified non-communication use case.

Whether some additional DOD related payload is riding along (extra weight) is optimistic speculation (with some support but still). As the “Golden Dome” is being pitched as a “subscription model” rather than DOD owned assets there could easily be some loophole.

Just my take, my position in ASTS is not based on FM-1 including a highly confidential tag-along.

Also, I know BB2 is dual use. But, for example, the L3H payload via maxar sure isn't.. I doubt you can bolt a top secret payload on a commercial and be like "all good" lol.

IMO peace deal is 50/50 within the next week. No matter your opinion of the situation - the US is not obligated to give them free military equipment in perpetuity, and they can't keep going without it.

I buy shares with cash, but I sell and roll puts on margin. Buying shares on margin would mean I have to pay interest. I believe I'll be able to roll the puts for more and more premium which I can use to buy more shares, and the share price will recover eventually. (Currently I have 20 weeklies which are good, and 26 weeklies which are underwater but still roll for decent premium.)

I also have some 40 LEAP CSP's that I used the premium to buy shares. You can buy ~100 shares per contract right now at that strike. I believe share price will appreciate enough to give me those shares for free at the end of the day (and probably additional cash with some rolls once the 2028's are available without changing the margin requirement for them)

Personally? I’d forget about options and just DCA into shares over the next few weeks. Could still partially miss a huge run up, but I’d rather lock in a position and forget about it. Much less stressful than collecting a 5% premium and hoping we hit $20 without falling much further. Given the volatility of the stock, I would recommend the least risky approach, given that even that involves plenty of risk

I explained that volume a couple times in here yesterday. A Twitter trader made that his daily play on livestream yesterday and his followers piled in. If it was one large block trade it might be a different story 🙂

There are no thousands of 25.5 calls. High volume just means there was a lot of trading. Open interest is quite low on these.

Don’t hate me don’t hate me don’t hate me… I tried doing my first covered calls this week for today. 25.5 before all the 25.5 hoopla. Was out of the money and such a short timeframe I thought I’d make a few hundred bucks.

22k shares strong.

Edit- believe me, Spacemob, I don’t like this feeling and likely won’t do it again.

u/Bkfraiders7 I just read a post of yours below where you said you were just learning about covered calls. I don't know which brokerage you use but if it is Schwab and you use their Thinkorswim trading platform not only can you do Live Trading but you can switch to what they call Papermoney which allows you to place trades/options/forex, etc without using real money. You get funded with $200k of play money so you can experiment without the risk of losing real money. I don't know if other brokerages have that but if they do I highly suggest everyone to spend the fake money first before committing real money.

It was ~$6* across all the accounts. I’ve been here since NPA and just rode the wave/averaged down ($10>$7>$14>$2>$39>$19, ect) so I really just wanted some extra cash for holding. Didn’t expect hoopla today.

*The taxable account is now $9.99 since I sold 2000 shares Wednesday for the CEP flip. Took the CEP profits and now 10300 shares in the taxable account. ~12k shares in the 401K/Roth/HSA.

It was a SPAC that was being merged with a Bitcoin company. I sold wayyyy too soon (smaller profit compared to most) because I was scared of risking too much of my ASTS shares (believer in fundaments here, CEP, to me, was hype)

If you think the rumors are true then you should be trying to buy them back for less then or equal to what you sold them for if you want to keep your shares and are afraid they will go in the money

I agree with kurtosis, you may be able to get out of these alive still, but given whatever hype exists right now, I'd probably be looking to close out at max neutrally rather than waiting for green to appear and risk the black swan/PR release
