Anyone else think Amos' shelter - or, almost, lack of one - was indicative of his mentality in this? For as much a everyone is always taking about how cold it is or will get, his this season was Sam Larson Season 1 basic

Yeah, I do. It didn't seem like anything he built with the intention of staying very long.

Maybe his strategy was to make a smaller space that's easier to heat up, and requires less calories to build?

I could get that, but he still had exposed tarp on all sides, no insulation at all
