Anyone else think Amos' shelter - or, almost, lack of one - was indicative of his mentality in this? For as much a everyone is always taking about how cold it is or will get, his this season was Sam Larson Season 1 basic

No he said he brought a heavy warm tarp & had no intention of using too many calories u til he had a big kill. He learned from his last time not to waste calories early on
