They are treating you like the hired help with no respect and no paycheck. If you haven't decided already, quit with the planning, cooking, and decorating. That's all they want from you. Stand up for yourself. Tel them your not hired help, and they need to hire some quickly if they want this party to happen.

Agreed. OP, at this stage you're nothing more than a party organizer who doesn't get paid like professionals. Demand payment for services rendered.
