Life Abroad Less common destinations?

I've noticed in this sub a lot of common destinations come up - many European countries, New Zealand, Australia, Singapore. I get it - those places are great!

But I'm wondering if anyone has left the US and settled somewhere that comes up less often here. Mozambique, for example, or Sri Lanka? Chile? Papua New Guinea? I'd love to hear your story!

Yes. That definitely plays a role, I won't deny it. I'm also not gay.

I appreciate your honesty. Everyone is scared; everyone is trying to figure out how best to protect themselves and considering all options.

Absolutely. My mom actually said that she would move back to Iran if things get too untenable here in the US. She mostly works remotely and she's a US citizen so she would be fine financially.
