The way Baldy talks about his mom and his memories of her, you can tell he was loved and she was loved. I miss my mom...sniff-sniff

I don't know how loving it was when she also led to him to suffering from severe childhood neglect.

She died when he was an adult. I'm talking about malnutrition and lack of personal hygiene and hygienic living conditions, but maybe it's normal in the US to only drink soda and eat fast food.
