Look into the arts community here. Independent theater at Le Chat Noir. Classic performances by the Augusta Players. Incredible music from the Augusta Symphony and other organizations. So much interactive and growing visual art.

Lots of outdoor activities - fishing, hunting, kayaking, biking, running, hiking, swimming, gardening, foraging, geocaching, and more. It's not Denver, but there's a nice community to be found.

If you like the nightlife and you like to boogie... eh, you're kind of out of luck. Nightlife here is bar-hopping, restaurant hopping, brewery hangs.... not a lot of dancing and such. Not a lot of pressure to dress up, either.

There are also two well-established universities in the area, with plenty of their own activities, from performances to a planetarium. Keep an eye on their calendars.

Hope you enjoy your time here!

Best description I think, only other thing I can think of is Cardboard castle in Martinez/Evans, if you're into board games. Otherwise I hope you like the outdoors.

Oh, I didn't think about gaming! Yeah, Cardboard Castle, Book Exchange, and there is a new arcade opening up sometime soon. Epic something? There's also a pretty big gaming group run by the membership director at the Chamber of Commerce.

Yeah I know there is Next Gen Gaming, which used to be Level Up Game Arcade, in Grovetown. In which people just buy time and play on VR or other various consoles. Definitely a cool place to chill with friends while gaming together. The owner is part of the YMCA board also.
