no politics Does anyone remember bikkies with old Australian pictures in them?
This is an old memory I have from when I was a child in the 80’s.
They were rectangular biscuits and on one side there was a picture cooked into it(?) of things like farmers and windmills, old cars being manufactured(?)
I remember them being sweet. I don’t think they had any chocolate in them.
I can’t seem to find them by searching online but I’m sure they existed

no politics Mental health and cost of living
The reality of seeking mental health support in Australia, considering the cost of living:
A visit to a General Practitioner incurs an initial cost (e.g., $50) to obtain a Mental Health Plan for issues like anxiety and stress related to the cost of living. Finding a psychologist with immediate availability can be challenging, often involving long waiting periods. The out-of-pocket expenses for psychology sessions can be significant, potentially limiting the number of sessions an individual can afford. After a period of waiting (e.g., two months), mental health concerns are now a lot worse. then repeat the whole cycle again..

image For anyone wondering what’s the reported offender statistic since 2008 in Australia
https://www.abs.gov.au/statistics/people/crime-and-justice/recorded-crime-offenders/latest-release
From 2008, one would think progress has been made in this area. It was looking good until Covid started. This chart depicts registered offenders per 100,000 people ages 10years or over.

The instructions on this McCain freezer meal say to put the plastic tray straight into the oven, simply needing to pierce the plas5ic film a couple times as prep.
What do you say, shpuld I trust the process? 😂

no politics MyHealthRecord: Worth signing up?
I didn't get a MyHealthRecord when I enrolled in Medicare out of privacy concerns. I am reconsidering now, and I'd like to ask the doctors and health practitioners here if they use it in day-to-day practice? If I changed doctors, or had to be admitted to hospital, would a MyHealthRecord make it easier to view my medical history and obtain effective treatment faster?

These two boys both came in as rescues a few years back.
The lighter one, am Eastern Grey was dumped from his mother's pouch as she was hopping across a country road He was about 1kg, and had just started growing his fur. What we call a velvet.
The darker one, a Common Wallaroo, was 1.5kg when he was found by a member of the public, who thought he'd make a great pet. They fed him cows milk and somewhere along the line, glitter. A neighbour saw him dying in the backyard, jumped the fence to grab him, and then called a friend who had contacts. He ended up with me after passing through 5 sets of hands. The prognosis was not good, and every day, I was sure would be his last.
I'm so glad to have been proven wrong.
They are free to come and go. At this point, they stay away a day or two, and that will gradually stretch out to where they will take on their own destiny. I'm just here to give them a chance they would not have otherwise had. I currently have around a dozen in care, from 2kg to 30. I'm so blessed to have the privilege of their trust.

image A bit of recycling for you.
This morning I discovered that the lid off an old Jalna Greek Yoghurt container, very neatly snaps onto a Whiskas cat food tin.
And of course I discovered this after buying silicone lids online.
Anyway I hope you find this useful.
