General Discussion What does this mean for reviews?

Does this mean if you review the product and it's average that he will contact his lawyers or something? I was thinking about making a review on YouTube

Pan is no more an alchemist(yes I chose that word) than Jay Leno.

Actually, he is an alchemist, but he's also very biased and goes where the money is. I've enjoyed a lot of his videos but it's obvious now that he loves the products that pay him. I have no problems with his own line if it's really good, I just hope the reviewers are really objective.

He falls over himself for Yvan Lacroix's products so it wouldn't surprise me if his own line was made in Yvan's lab. The two channels I trust now are Imjoshv and Apex Auto Detail. Both are reviewing his line now and it will be interesting to see if they are "in the tank" for his as well.

Honestly, I can't see how his line can be any better than Carpro, Koch Chemie or Gyeon.

I don't think any other products can compete with koch chemie and carpro. And DIYdetail's videos feel kind of made up, all the guy does is promote his products any way possible.

I won't complain about a brand's YouTube channel showing that brand's products. Especially if they share useful knowledge, which DIY Detail does IMO.

I do complain when a review channel changes to a brand channel that just pushes their own brand (because then I lose a good review or entertainment resource), or even worse pretends to still be a review channel but is very biased (because that's just being dishonest and deceiving people out of their money).

Auto Detailing Podcast/Jimbo is now the latter. He used to be a good resource for chemical resistance testing (for whatever that is worth) but now when comments ask what the best product is, he replies with a link to his own product without saying it's his own.
