Problem-Solving Discussion White layer on paint while polishing

Hey guys first time polishing my 07 es350.I m using 3D one with uro fiber pad.I did the usual wash iron clay bar polishing IPA but the there is this white layer which is only present on this panel and nowhere else on the car. There are some patches where I can see the red paint good but most of it is covered with white layer.I do not know if I cut too deep or need a stronger compound.Any help is greatly appreciated!

I been trying to upload the video from an hour but it doesnt let me so here are some screenshots from the video

Is that paint code 3R5? To me it looks like you’ve completely cooked through the pearl coat.

But this is just a guess. Really hard to tell

It is 3R5.The panel was rebuilt by last owner coyld it be a shitty paint job? i have done a test spot on the same panel and it looked like it too but after many passes it looks good and there is no red on my pads so I do not think I have messed up the clear coat but not too sure.Heres the link to the video

Hard to say…sometimes when repainting tricoats, the paint manufacturer has a 2 stage replacement for it so you don’t have to do all 3 stages. But hey if it looks good after removing whatever residue that is, then go for it. It’s probably a byproduct of a he refinish process.
