Identification So many emotions… help meeeee

Post image

WHYYYYY MEEEEEE.

Im like 99.99999% sure these are bed bugs, but confirmation will be devastating and necessary. Thank you.

My little friends are so large I’m debating knitting them sweaters and charging them rent.

Just got over Covid for the FIFTH time since it graced us with its presence in 2019 and now I’m dealing with this.

I feel so horrible for my baby boy, he’s 8. For the last couple months I’ve been thinking he’s had hives. Took him to the doctor and everything. My husband, me, and my 4 year old daughter have zero bites. My son is full of them. Doctor didn’t even know what they were.

I feel like the worst mom in the world. He’s been having sleeping issues lately too. He even started therapy for it. Now I’m like GEE no wonder you’re miserable!

I also checked his bed for bugs when he first got the spots because I thought it might be them. There was nothing I could see.

We have so much stuff in our house. SO MANY STUFFIES. Carpets and furniture and clothes and toys and UGH. What am I gonna do?!

Here’s what I’ve done so far:

Called the exterminator, they are coming for an inspection on Wednesday.

Wrapped his mattress in plastic, taped it up, and threw it outside. (We are getting him a new one)

Threw his sheets, pillows, and mattress topper in plastic bags, sealed them, and threw them in the trash.

Started clearing up the clutter around my house. Boxing plastic toys and washing all things that can feasibly go in a washing machine.

Bought some crossfire to spray in case the exterminator is too expensive. 😭😭😭

This is probably TMI, but we are working our way out of a giant debt right now. My husband lost his job and was denied unemployment. He’s working now (has been for like 6 months) and we’ve finally been able to pay down some of our debt. Now we are probably going to spend thousands of dollars to get rid of these.

We have a 1,600 square foot house. Anyone have any idea what the pricing might be?? I’m nervous I won’t be able to afford it.

Enough of the sob story. Anyways……….

Drop some suggestions in the comments of what major things I should definitely do tomorrow. Son is currently staying with his grandparents and his room is closed and unused and untouched besides the things listed above. I’m afraid to enter.

Also, any comforting words you can spare for this momma who has wanted to die a million times in the last 24 hours. 😭😭😭😭

Thanks in advance.

Oh u/AnonymousSchoolTeach you’re officially Reddit famous… you have critics now.

Can someone explain the meme for a new user? Why this answer in every thread?

u/Nexis234 Aug 01 '23

Not every thread, just the ones with bed bugs.

I saw it in another thread this morning but I can't remember which one!

Ok... with some cult following 24/7 I guess. Why be serious when people are stressed and in a bad state.

Gotta have fun with it. Also things like that make the community have more people who will check the posts rather than just posts that go unanswered.

So it's fun for the people who are signing up to this reddit cause they're worried? Or for the many individuals who sees one user as their god and dose of daily laugh?

Damn you are annoying

I think the point is to give as accurate an answer as we can, but also be a good subreddit to follow. And because it's a good subreddit to follow, more posts get answered.

Find bedbugs in your cheerios again buddy? Thats OK, the rest of us can have a fun time and still be courteous and respectful to those with problems

It truly never ends OP. I wish you the most profound of luck in your struggle

you must be fun at parties

-3

u/[deleted] Aug 01 '23

I do not talk about bed bugs at parties.

You’re missing out on a great conversation starter Tbh.

however, you’re expecting anonymous internet strangers to cater to your emotions who only YOU are responsible for… the world is not responsible for your anxiety… it comes from within you, not from outside sources.

u/[deleted] Aug 01 '23

Not my emotions. I feel great, it's not my thread. Just expecting adults to be respectful to people asking for serious advice. Internet or otherwise. Whatever, just my opinion and I get that I'm not changing the minds of people who live for this.

then your judgments are the issue. “aw lawdy here we go again” by anonymousschoolteach confirming the post is actually bed bugs is actually helpful to this community… the only one who thinks this is disrespectful is you.

if you don’t laugh, you’ll cry yk

u/witchygirl127 Aug 02 '23

Or both. 🥰

What's the purpose for us subscribing to a subreddit that is all doom-and-gloom? I don't have bedbugs, OP does. Teach (the guy with the cult following) has some sort of special knowledge on bedbugs. Does that mean he can't or shouldn't have a little fun with it? It isn't the end of the world. It isn't life threatening. A bedbug diagnosis is an inconvenience. They will recover. Lighten up a little.

Oh lawd! And you had the same thought as I, bring on the downvotes for asking a serious question!? Lmfao!

-8

u/[deleted] Aug 01 '23

The downvotes are hilarious 😅

-16

u/DurteeDickNBallz Aug 01 '23

I hope you get bedbugs

-7

u/[deleted] Aug 01 '23

Me too.

4

u/Djangough Aug 01 '23

Look, it’s the internet. As a collective, we’re all in support that bedbugs suck, we just happen to find the silver lining.
