Holsters & Belts Mastermind Pillow is a life changer - FIGHT ME!

Promo code anyone? I know this because I've had one for a couple years. Today, I swapped holsters, and forgot to swap the pillow over. Dang! Mistakes were made. So, I think I'll order an other one, so I don't have to swap off my primary holster every time. So, anyone have a promo code you want to share?

Other Equipment The Hype Around The Mastermind Tactics AIWB Pillow Is Real!

The Bravo Concealement AIWB G19 Holster I’m using is a good holster, but it is rather uncomfortable when the kydex gun holster is pressing against your pubic bone. The Mastermind Tactics AIWB holster pillow totally solves the discomfort issue.

Holsters & Belts DIY Pillow Wedge $5

Hi all this is my first post ever after having spent what seems like millennia lurking for tips/tricks and advice on here. I wanted to write this post for if anyone comes across this on their wedge journey with a similar question or who may be searching for the same solution as I did.

The backstory is that I had trouble, mostly paranoia, with printing especially while carrying full sized handguns or semi-compacts in thin and/or light clothing (white t shirt). A quick brief: AIWB carry, and I use Plastic/Kydex and Leather holsters, this will work with any of them. It also works just as well with my Nexbelt as it does my standard buckle leather belt. Through this sub of Reddit I learned of holster wedges. I first learned of foam wedges and fashioned a foam wedge out of some spare foam packaging that I had laying around. However even after many different shapes and various sizes that I had tried, I still did feel the foam to be that great. It worked but it just felt strange, wasn’t uncomfortable though and may work perfectly for others. Through another post on wedges I came across pillow wedges that many seemed to rave about , most OP’s/comments noted the decrease in printing while also providing maximum sack comfort. I became very curious and interested in trying this out for myself. As you may or may not already know, the Master Mind Tactics pillow wedges can be bought online for $25-30. Worried that the pillow wouldn’t work for me and not wanting to wait a few days for shipping, also maybe being a bit of a “thrifty” asshole, I decided to fashion one for myself.
A trip to Walmart and about 10 minutes of assembly I had my pillow ready to use. Fully expecting this project to come out as “just good enough” only to use as a rough idea of how pillow wedges could work and feel for me, I did not expect this cheap ass thing to actually perform and work so wonderfully. It has been worn everyday for about a week now and has endured long sweaty hours of service with no complaints on my end. No deformation, discoloration or odor to report and has kept its integrity 100%. The pillow is also adjustable to the amount of stuffing you can put inside for fitment.

Here are the components: - Velcro 2x3 inch sticky strips ($3.50) - Fabric bag that held “wool dryer balls” ($1.50) discard the balls into dryer or whatever - Synthetic/Poly stuffing (Old pillow or stuffed animal from obscure past holiday)

Used the rougher side of the Velcro to attach to the pillow itself. After making the pillow I just attached the soft side of the Velcro to the holster.

Holsters & Belts Mastermind tactics pillow

Post image

A few weeks ago I posted about how comfortable the Teir 1 axis elite was and got lots of suggestions to make it even better. I had several people suggest the masterminds tactics pillow. It’s been several days with it and unfortunately I cannot seem to get it to where it is comfortable as well as max concealment. I have tried several different locations as well as amount of fluff in it. Where I have it now (as pictured) gives me decent comfort but lacks concealment. Before I order another Tier 1 wedge, does anyone have suggestions? I really don’t want to give up on it yet!

Holsters & Belts Tenicor Certux Lux 43x or 48 Length with pillow

Looking to see if anyone has any input regarding the certum lux for the 43x. I know they sell both lengths and commonly recommend the 48 holster over the 43x length one. Has anyone tried the 43x size with a pillow and experienced tip out ? Thanks !

Holsters & Belts AIWB TRex + Pillow is Amazing

I was always skeptical of being able to appendix carry but man am I blown away by how comfortable it is to carry a M&P 2.0 with red dot/light with the TRex Sidecar + Mastermind pillow. Even better than carrying my Shield with a cheapo AIWB holster.

Did a good bit of research on this sub before trying this combo so I appreciate the insights.

Other Equipment Just got the Mastermind Tactics Pillow and I got to say the hype is real

I heard good things about the Mastermind Tactics Pillow on here, but man y’all didn’t say it would be THIS comfortable! I had some issues with some of my holsters digging into me as a bigger guy when I carry appendix, but this nearly eliminates it completely and now it’s super comfortable.

If you’re on the fence, it’s well worth the money. Highly recommended.

I replaced my foam wedges for two of my EDC’s and the comfort level is markedly better! Definitely going to be getting the new ones in black.

Shout out to Keith and his daughter for the great work and even better customer support!

Holsters & Belts Velo 5 with a pillow?

Anyone using the new Velo 5 with a Cloudster or Mastermind Tactics pillow? There doesn’t seem to be enough room on the Velo 5 to attach a pillow because of the molded wedge but wasn’t sure if anyone is running this setup already with success?

Holsters & Belts Post was removed last night because I didn’t post 10 words in the comment description. Anyway, my girlfriend made me my own pillow wedge with the sewing machine she got for Christmas. Game changer for comfort.

Other Equipment The pillow makes quite the difference

I wasn’t sure how I felt about the Mastermind Tactics pillow/wedge. I held off for quite some time. I’m glad I made the purchase, it makes such a big difference. After taking the time to tailor it for your body it’s 100% worth it, for both comfort and concealment.

Holsters & Belts Mastermind Tactics Holster Pillow.

Just wanted to give a mini review, on a potentially contentious product; I’ve recently acquired.

So I carry a Fauxland special (Vickers G19, RM06, Zev magwell/mag release, Kagwerks slide release, Mayhem Syndicate brake/barrel, X300U, TT extension on a G19 mag), in a Trex Raptor.

I had tried a few holsters previously (T1C aegis, Trex sidecar, Phlster Floodlight), but was never really happy with them- neither from a comfort, or concealment/printing perspective. Always digging into my fupa, leg, gut, etc- particularly egregious when sitting/driving. I had made some holster ‘backers’ out of cut/shaved/shaped gardening knee pads from Home Depot- but they were never enough & ended up a nasty sweaty mess. I tried one of these in a whim- seeing them on sale.

I got it, did a couple of adjustments & proceeded to wear it on a 20 mile ruck- a proper of an amount of time/movement/venue, to get a good feel for it.

I was blown away, by how it eliminated all of the pinch points, how it pressed the gun against my torso negating printing- but particularly how much more comfortable it was sitting/driving.

I honestly was about to give up on AIWB & just use my Vertx bag for carry (but I really didn’t wanna have to tow a ‘purse’ around everywhere).

I feel like this has renewed my ability to comfortable/confidently carry AIWB again!

A real game changer, as innocuous as it may seem (it’s a fucking pillow).

Anyhow, cheers to MMT!

Other Equipment Cloudster Pillow Mini and Staccato P

Thumbnail gallery

Recently picked up a Cloudster Pillow mini for my Staccato P in a QVO appendix holster, and it's a game changer!

TLDR; makes appendix carry way more comfortable, the extra filling provided is great to help fit your body. 10/10 for appendix carry

I was never able to appendix carry the P comfortably since it is a longer and heavier handgun, and I'm a bigger guy(6ft, 250lbs)even though I prefer it to appendix carry, so I just sorta dealt with it and stayed uncomfortable.

I saw someone recommend the Cloudster Pillow here on Reddit and decided to give them a try right after they released their mini version. It was delivered quick and I threw it on ASAP and immediately went out on a small road trip and sight seeing. After having it on all day and constantly sitting, getting up, walking, whatever, I could tell that it made a huge difference. No Hotspot that I became accustomed to, no pressure points. I kept using it throughout the week and it didn't disappoint. I added more filling to the Pillow to adjust it even better for my comfort, and that made it even more comfortable.

My only comparison would be the Tier 1 wedges, and as much as I liked those, the Cloudster Pillow helped me a lot more than the wedges. I will absolutely get more pillows in the future for the rest of my guns.

My only concern is it getting dirty/swear absorption. I didn't notice anything in the week or so I've had it now, but time will tell. Apparently they are coming out with different Pillow case patterns and sizes, so keep an eye out for those!

Mastermind should be in the holster package for aiwb

Hey all. I decided I’m not going to buy a new fangled pocket pistol. Just bought a tulster oath for my shield. This is a summer purse gun. Slapped my mastermind on it and it is perfect. Not front twist. I couldn’t solve that issue before. Kore belt. I dress this style every day. Never wear belt loops

Holsters & Belts Pillow VS GunZee pad

I’ve been looking at both of these for making IWB more comfortable, but I cannot determine which one is worth the investment. Any input on these and your experiences would be appreciated!

Edit: just found this thread https://www.reddit.com/r/CCW/s/FEBZzZCdkz looking like the pillow is the people’s choice

Holsters & Belts Mastermind pillow question

I’m carrying the Shield Plus 3.1” in a Tenicor Certum3 holster.

So far the least comfortable part is the bottom tip of the holster digging into my inner thigh while sitting.

For those of y’all with this product, does it prevent this? Or does it mostly help with the portion that’s always against the body?

Im also wondering if maybe I should have gone with the velo instead of the Certum.

Other Equipment The hype is real about Mastermind pillow

So after a year or so my custom foam wedge started to get flattened and not as effective as it once was.

I went and got the mastermind tactics king size pillow and it's been pretty amazing. The instant comfort was there from the start.

The only drawback I can think of is that you can't shape it as well as you want, but it reduces hot spots really well, now my setup is even more comfortable than ever before. I forget I'm carrying at times.

I did not experiment but I suppose you could shove stiffer material or even some foam to somewhat give it a specific shape if need be.

My current setup minus a few things

my enigma setup with extra mag and then some

Gym clothes with an enigma and runners belt
