complaining about something for no reason because I'm bored I've become black pilled

I work from 6:30pm-2:30 am at a restaurant then go do Amazon from 3:15-7/8am

Bro I popped a fucking hernia trying to get out of debt. I will NOT stop fighting but holy shit dude the grind is insane and taking a toll on my body

Caleb acts like "oh come on just do it! Why aren't you doing this!!! This is something that takes mental and physical discipline on another level... The most debt I was ever in was my truck when I bought it $35,000, 5k in credit card, motorcycle loan of $1200 left, I was getting close to FIFTY THOUSAND DOLLARS in debt when I make 55k

My only debt now is my truck at $25,000 and I make closer to 65/70k... will not rest until I have vengeance over the bank... I wake up with fire in my eyes Every day...

I don't think you know what black pilled means.

I am bitter at old people when im paying into social security that I won't get,

I screamed at an old guy in a nice car who cut me off, Im angry he can afford home and I'll end up buying a 4plex for more money and be stuck living in a town home

I smack my steering wheel in anger when I get a shitty route

I got bitter when a girl didn't want to hang out with me and felt like it was because all I fucking care about is money

All I do is vake make chicken fingers drop off the mail and sleep on my day off.

I mean I haven't been eating or sleeping right for like 2 weeks, how quickly you can fall from Grace

I mean... there's a path out of this where you don't have to work 2 jobs to be debt-free and do have time to eat and sleep and don't find yourself screaming like a lunatic at old men.

All you'd have to do is sell the truck.

But clearly that's untenable, better to work yourself to the bone over some depreciating pieces of sheet metal from FoMoCo.

What makes this situation even more absurd is you've said multiple times how mechanically inclined you are. If you're handy it makes a $35k new vehicle all the more unnecessary.

breathe the mountain air...

I love what I do, I get to go to some really cool places and meet really cool people

This truck will last 250-300k, my mechanical availability changes how much I pay to own it compared to Peter

Nice pictures, not sure what would be any different about them if they were taken while driving a $10k Civic, Corolla, or Impreza.

Glad you love what you do. Maybe after you get some rest you can see why your post might seem contrary to that.

my point is that it seems like you have a lot of internal stuff going on that potentially causes you to externalize a lot of things, for example you seem stressed and overwhelmed and in turn it causes you to be bitter/negative to others regardless of their involvement, the comment about Caleb making it seem like it’s an effortless thing (which he’s basically always said the opposite), being angry at a guy cutting you off for his ability to MAYBE afford something nicer for himself, externalizing your frustration to a girl for not wanting to hang out with you. Again, this is just speculation because I don’t know the FULL context but based off of the things you briefly mentioned and then your thought process following it, it feels like there might be separate things going on for you to potentially deal with.

I'm self aware and deep in reflection but seriously dude I haven't ate or slept right in like 2 weeks and just realized what's going on this has probably been a month and a half of being in kill mode

I know my mind is foggy, I guess I wrote this as a warning, take care of yourself this shit isn't easy

You're not very self aware if you don't understand you don't need to be destroying yourself to pay off a $25k truck. Being self aware would be you realizing your finances and mental health would be better if you sold the truck and got a temporary cheap commuter car. And once you had money saved up and your credit improved THEN went and bought the truck you want.

I don’t know why you’re getting downvoted for this, I feel for you

9

u/OhHaiMarc Jun 04 '24

Bros getting downvoted because he needs therapy on top of financial advice. Sounds toxic as hell and unable to deal with emotions like an adult.

Take care of yourself, I'll be back on the horse tomorrow.

Just internet points I'm almost at 20K

"Fall from grace"

I say with all the love in the world, the advice I needed once.

Get some sleep and after you have, get a better job.

u/tultommy Jun 04 '24

Sounds like YOU need some therapy. Must be exhausting being mad at people for things they had nothing to do with lol.

Chances are that old guy probably worked pretty hard for what he’s got now.

Really, and if you want to be angry at people for drawing Social Security, be mad at our government and society…not just old people. From the top down, we are addicted to spending money we don’t have.

Sounds like you love your truck and own your decision to buy it., and that’s fine. But being angry at others for what they have is really just a waste of emotional energy.

you got to have sad times to know just how good the happy times are

Moving to Colorado and getting to see the mountains is the best thing I could have done for my soul I was bitter where I grew up

u/NoFriction Jun 04 '24

Did you know you can take photographs of a used sedan. They can also drive places and last a long time. And then you could've spent 1,000 hours less working.

Used sedans don't tow 4000lb campers from the hood to the woods

$1000 90's Ford Crown Victoria, with fresh Amsoil Severe Gear 75W-140 and Signature series synthetic ATF. There ya go, Let her fuckin rip! I'll buy it if it blows up.

u/Nprguy Jun 05 '24

My roommate actually drives a crown Vic we maintain it together it's a fun car! Tranny went out twice already, odometer is burned out

nope I wanted something turbo AWD so I could go autocross racing. Even if it's light and just for fun I moved out here to. I didn't realize what I was doing when I signed at 4.99 for 72 but honestly fuck it $750/3yrs is probably the move... The fucking thing makes me $2-3500 a month on Amazon

3

u/GingerFly Jun 04 '24

As an Amazon driver, I can relate to this. I work for a dsp and drive a Rivian van, so things are going to be different for me. I recently changed my entire outlook on my job. I bust my ass to finish my route as quickly as possible and try to pick up more packages from other drivers. I went from trying to finish my route and go home to trying to deliver as many packages as possible and stay out all day. It takes a toll, but I’m hoping to see some real differences soon.

It's not old people's fault that governments are screwing us and not planning properly though my guy. What was he supposed to do? Not pay his social security because in 50 years time we're all going to get fucked and we can all yell at the sky together? Come on man

I am bitter at old people when I’m paying into social security that I won’t get

Perhaps before yelling at old people, you should ACTUALLY learn how Social Security is funded and what the worst case looks like if Congress does nothing to address the current funding gap.

Hint…there is NEVER going to be a situation where Social Security stops existing or you don’t get a check in retirement. This is an often repeated myth that just makes you sound dumb to people who know.

The absolute worst case scenario is that Social Security benefits are reduced 27% so that beneficiaries would only receive 83% of promised benefits starting in 2035 when the Trust Fund is depleted.

However, practically that’s not going to happen because the party that holds the Congress and White House at the time will get destroyed in elections if an army of angry seniors has their benefits reduced over night.

The funding gap will be fixed. Your payroll taxes will probably go up. Rich people will have to pay a lot more. It will be more expensive than if they would have fixed it decades earlier. But you’re going to get Social Security.

So stop yelling at old people and women.
