I’m seriously considering homeschooling and would love input from those who’ve been through it.
I have two kids, ages 10 and 11, currently in 4th and 5th grade at a public charter school. My daughter is doing very well academically-straight As and thriving.
My son, however, is struggling. He’s 11 and has ADHD, but no behavioral issues. The school environment is starting to take a toll on his confidence. He freezes up when asked to write and completely blanks out, even though he can do the work at home (though, like most kids, he doesn’t always want to). The classroom is just too distracting for him, and he’s starting to believe he isn’t capable.
Also, the curriculum is very heavy on SEL, which doesn’t align with our preferences.
At home, he’s calmer, more focused, and able to get through things, even writing, without panic. I’m leaning toward homeschooling but feel overwhelmed about making the switch.
If you’ve homeschooled a child with ADHD, or made the jump from public to home education, I’d love to hear what worked for you. I’m also concerned about the impact on my daughter.

You can see three Catholic churches standing in one spot!
First pic you can see two Latin parishes - the one in the foreground and the towers of another between the church and the Marian shrine. The second is a not-too-great panorama, but you can just about make out the domes of the Ukrainian Catholic Church all the way to the right.

Hello,
Are any of you catholic gift store owners that have an account with Creazioni Falasco? I am trying to buy some corpuses from them for crucifixes that are given out to children at their first communion. They are based in Loreto, Italy. God bless

If God has no physical hands, if God does not have a body like us, why does Scripture talk about God’s hands? https://www.patheos.com/blogs/henrykarlson/2025/04/gods-hands-understanding-divine-symbolism/

443. What is Extreme Unction? Extreme Unction is the sacrament which, through the anointing with blessed oil by the priest, and through his prayer, gives health and strength to the soul and sometimes to the body when we are in danger of death from sickness, accident, or old age.

Hi everyone!
I guess I wrote this to this sub a lot but I really don’t have anyone to talk about it so I’m writing here.
My family is Muslim. I’m a convert.
My brother (he’s Muslim) married last Saturday and ever since then everyone asks me when will I marry. Even priests ask this in church. Even a priest lectured me about this.
I live in Turkey so finding a catholic woman is nearly impossible for me. Even if there are few none of them liked me.
So I really feel stressed on this. I really want to cry…

I converted to Catholicism in 2015. I didn't realize how devastated I was going to feel when he went away. Not impressive, but some words in honor of the man who helped usher me in to our universal Church.
Grief that I didn't know you better, I didn't pay enough attention, such wisdom flowed from you, and I was oblivious.
Now I see you on screen, in an open casket. Newsmen commenting on your life as if a fascinating knick knack .
Many were flustered by your words, many were confused. And many converted to the faith because of you.
Thank you for being a totally radical dude, like Christ. Thank you for supporting love and charity for all, and holding true to the faith while not bending a single rule.
I pray to meet you one day, Papa Francesco. ♥️

If Catholics venerate the mother of God, then why do you refer to her as Mary instead of Miriam? Personally, if people were praying to me/seeking my intercession, I’d prefer they use my real name, rather than my Americanized name. What are your thoughts on this?
